I'm pretty sure the Good Night Kiss refers to how the Castle lights keep changing
colors at the end of the night. It's really beautiful to watch the Castle change colors as you are leaving the park - it's a nice way to say good bye.
I think "The Kiss Goodnight" refers to the characters at the end of the last show of the evening. The all stand together and blow a kiss at the crowd. At least that's what I read.
From Deb Wills site: The Kiss Goodnight, which occurs most nights after the Magic Kingdom closes. The Kiss Goodnight is never listed on any official calendars. The Kiss Goodnight is a short speech wishing Guests a good evening, plus music and special lighting of Cinderella Castle. It's a very special ending to the day.
Thanks for the link. I got goosebumps watchings it. I have never seen the opening or closing of the MK. I am going to try to make it a point to do that this trip.
I try to stay for the Kiss Goodnight every time I am at MK late. Sometimes some of those I am with don't want to wait so we don't, but I have seen it quite a bit. It really is a magic moment. You do have to hang around the Hub for upwards of an hour after closing, but it really is relaxing, people watching, listen to music. I spend time taking pictures.
If you were not 'into Disney', when it was over, you would, ;Is THAT what we waited for?!??!?!? But, if you are 'into Disney', you say YEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!!!!
Okay, I got teary from watching that! LOL Oh, and I may be crazy, but I could have SWORN that there was a hidden mickey on the face of the castle!! Watch it towards the end!
