closing contract notification

My contract was suppose to close today but I received no notification that it happened. Should I worry?

I think I received an email the day after both of my contracts closed.

If you go to the orange county comptroller's website and search for your name, you can sometimes see the title show up there before the title company gets around to letting you know.

That happened in my case. The title showed up on the OCC website one day and the title company notified me via email the following day.

We did not receive any notification. Our contract closed and the deed was recorded on 1/20. Around mid February (last week) we looked online and saw it on the OCC website. I was able to call Member Services and get my member number (although I think it was a mistake for them to release) 2 or 3 days after we saw that. Later that same afternoon I called someone and told them I had my member number and asked if they could help activate me online, which they did.

Moral of the story... .don't rely on the agent or title company to notify you. In our case, we were not notified of any steps in the process. I knew what the general timelines should be from the Disboards and would check in periodically to see where things stood.
