Hello! I'm trying to find out if there is a Wal-Mart or Target on the way to Universal from the Airport.

Last year I stopped @ a Wal-Mart on the way to WDW, but this time we're going to Universal first.

I don't like to pack my film so I always stop to get film & bottled waters so I don't have to buy them in the parks.

Thanks for the help in my planning!
;) :D ,
Katherine

I know there is a Super Target near Mall of Millenia in Orlando which is pretty close to Universal (as long as you are on I-4). I'd have to look it up to see how far it is from the airport, or you could too. Target is directly across the street from Mall of Millenia. I can get back to you with more specifics if you need them.

Easy to find. Your pre trip planning will pay off. I do the same thing printing lots of maps and directions. First you need the address of the HRH, which is
5800 Universal Blvd.
Orlando FL 32819
Then you go on www.walmart.com and use their store locator typing in the above address.
The easiest one to visit is the one on Kirkman Road at
2500 S. Kirkman Rd
Orlando FL 32811
Open another browser window and goto maps.yahoo.com and type in that address. Zoom out 1 level and print the page. Type in the address for the HRH and print it too so you know the area.
The driver or you can find this, because you go to USF, then go north on Kirkman about 2 miles.
Then on the way back from the Walmart, stop at Publix (full service grocery store) and pick up the cooler, beer, doughnuts, snacks, and sodas. They make subs in their deli. Buying the film from Publix would probably be better, because you'd only have to stop once, and you'd only save a couple bucks by going to Walmart. It's your call. Address is here.
4606 S. Kirkman Road
Orlando FL 32811
It's on the west side of Kirkman road in a shopping center 1 mile north of the park. There is a Boston Market on the East Side. You'll find it.
Nothing like coming back from a long day at the park to a cooler full of beers and snacks.

Thank you both for the input!! :p

Robvia- I always pack my soft-sided cooler when I travel, but I never thought about buying beer (or wine coolers for me) and keeping them cool while at the park. That is a great idea & good way to relax after a hard day in the park.

Thanks again!
Katherine

There is a K-Mart within a mile of the parks. Out of the RPR parking lot you take a left and then take a left on Turkey Lake Road - you'll see Dr. Phillips HS right across the street. K-Mart is on the left about 1/2 mile down the road. There's also some grocery store but I don't remember the name of it.

Robvia,
I'm with you on the cooler loaded with beer. It beats the heck out of a $5.00 Miller Lite from the mini-bar.

Yeah, you buy the styrophome cooler in the beer section for about $8. Put all your stuff in, and fill it with ice at the hotel.
Buy some small milks, OJs, and doughnuts for the breakfast the next morning. That way you eat in the room, and get a quick start to the day.
When you're done with the trip, leave the cooler next to the ice machine, others will know you're leaving it. Oh, and any left over drinks and snacks, go with me to the airport to have while waiting for the plane.
