I live just north of Disney and I would recommend that if you are running errands and want to get away to shop where the locals do (and not be swamped with tourists) it would be worth your trip to head North to Highway 50. 50 is also known as Colonial drive. There is a brand new SuperTarget set to open in July, I can hardly wait for it to be finished. Meanwhile the original Target is there also. Ocoee has a small
WalMart and Winter Garden has a KMart. The Target(and new TArget) would have Ocoee addresses.
If you exited Disney property and followed 535 North you would land in WinterGarden. (about 10 miles)
Otherwise you could take Apoka Vineland straight north and head into Ocoee. Believe me, it is sometimes worth the drive to get away from the "rat race".
Highway 50 (ColonialDr) Also has many restaurants(Red Lobster, Olive Garden, etc.) and other shopping. (West Oaks Mall, Sam's Club, Lowe's, etc.)
My best recommendation to you is to use Yahoo YellowPages to find the place you are looking for, then have it Map the distances. That way you could make a better decision as to how far you are willing to drive.
P.S. Gas is cheaper on 50 too. Disney property gas stations are 25-30 cents higher.
