I am curious...do they sell lighters anywhere in disney? Either the parks or in the resorts? I am only bringing a carry on (and therefore cannot bring a lighter correct?) I thought it would be nice to get a disney lighter, but I dunno where I would be able to get one! Thanks

Last I heard TSA now allows you to carry on a lighter. But TSA changes their rules frequently. Guess I better check before the first of June so I don't get arrested for carrying one.

No lighters for sale; they just give you a book of non-Disney matches. You can now bring a lighter on the plane, though.

I agree with that, as of 10/09 anyway, when we went last. I was outside O'Hare's terminal with a TSA agent and he said butane lighters are now acceptable again.

Thank you! I will try to pack some...but they are already over $8 here...so if i had to pay disney prices its not that unrealistic to me!

Only at the RESORT gift shops, not at the parks.

You can also walk over to the Hess gas station across from DTD and get them at real world prices.

Would the same be true for the Hess station near BWI? I'm not sure we are ordering from Garden grocery again this trip.

Oh yeah, that is true at that Hess station also. I just don't know if it is possible to walk over there from Boardwalk. (Haven't noticed if there are sidewalks available or not.)

I've never tried it but I've read of members on the DVC board going there. I'm going to try googleearth & see if I can find it. Thanks.

My dh and I just returned from a week at POP. There were several nice, quiet smoking areas around the lake and one area by each pool. The best was near the Petals bar at the Hippy Dippy pool. Also there is one as you come out the food court in the back near the pool before you go down the steps to the pool. We had no problem finding a place to smoke here or in the parks. DSA's were here and there. Just use your map.
