Gamblers? Oh, right - gambling's legal in Las Vegas, too. I forgot - I'm so excited at not being ostracized for smoking!!!
You should have heard me when I first found out they banned smoking inside the airport!! They had these little Plexiglas rooms with ventilation... and, oh yeah - those video game thingies where you put in money and sometimes got back money (instead of points like with most video games?). No problem. Well, when I checked in and found out my flight was delayed what turned out to be almost FOUR hours, and said, "No problem, I'll just hang out in the smoking area" and the counter agent told me I
couldn't smoke?????? I almost WALKED home

Planning. You're a DISer - certainly you know how to plan?

You determine IN ADVANCE how much you can afford to lose - aka entertainment funds - over the entire trip. Say it's $1,000. You divide this by the number of days you'll be there - say five. That's $200 per day.
Then you divide this into gambling 'sessions' - how many times each day do you intend/expect to gamble, realistically? Four? Okay, great. You split your gambling funds into four $50 packets for the day. Once you've gone through the $50, you STOP.
There's more to it than that - grab the Unofficial Guide to Las Vegas (or Casino Gambling for Dummies, and there's NOTHING wrong with the "for Dummies" series, if my brother happens to be reading this

).
