Has anyone spotted the new design at Vero Beach yet?

I'm wondering about this too!! I hope someone finds out for us!

When it comes to getting the mugs refilled at the Boardwalk I know that you show the Cast Members at the Boardwalk Bakery or Seashore Sweets your mug and they will give you the drink you want in a paper cup. However I remember in Janurary 2000 the Food & Fun Center was being renovated at the Contemporary, so the mugs were being sold at the Sand Bar which is located by their pool. Now if you wanted a drink over there the Cast Members working at the Sand Bar would poor it into your mug and not in a paper cup like they do at the Boardwalk. So why is that at the time they could refill them in the mugs at the Sand Bar and at the Boardwalk you get the refill in a paper cup?

At the BW Bakery, Seashore Sweets, BW pizza window, and Luna Park pool I have gotten refills in a separate cup since they do not have a self-serve refill station. When I stayed at BLT last year I went to the CR pool almost every day and refilled my mug at the Sand Bar, and they also refilled in a separate cup. I don't think this has always been policy for the non self-serve locations, but it seems to be the current standard practice - at least I know it has been at the BW for at least 6 years. I don't remember for sure from earlier trips though.

I like it - I don't have to clean my mug after getting my drink when I stay at the BW. I've come home with a never used mug before even though I refilled a number of times.

Hi, I'm looking for a pic of the new mugs. The one on the first page of this thread looks like the celebrate ones from last year. Are there new ones? I thought that's what people were saying but somehow I've missed the pic if there are. I'm staying at POR and BCV this May so really hoping for a new one.

Its offical, I had to admit it to my self, I have taken the Mug obsession to a all time high for me!!. I actually changed resorts because of the Mug. I was book into the BWI,and because they did not have the refill stations i decided to change to POR. Lucky for me we love POR to so It was not like biteing off my right hand to save the use of the Mug

New mugs just out - We have 4 in our family so we will be buying 4 mugs on our visit next week. It looks like they only have 3 colors so we will have to buy 2 of the same color (why can't they make 4 colors for a family of 4??)

Is anyone home with the new mugs yet who can check to see if an old top from last year 's mug will fit the new mugs? If I bring an old top and it fits, at least we will be able to easily know whose is whose.

Just read your post and went to check. While I don't have last years mugs I do have the original "Celebrate" mug with the narrow white bottom and the red and black design on the top. Yes the black top does fit on the new mugs! Wish I had of thought to bring a lid down with us in early March as it would have settled alot of problems of whose blue mug is this? Good Luck!

I wish they had more colors because my 2 boys already said they both want blue! My sister has a family of 5 and her son will be staying in my room at Pop so I'm thinking of taking a Sharpie to write names on our mugs or making some kind of mug charms for everyone so that we can avoid the "who's mug is this" confusion too!!

Great idea about taking the old lids, but I'm too OCD about that to actually use the old lids on the new mugs! But maybe my sister will want to use my old lids on her kids mugs......

I've heard unconfimed rumours that there were some black handles/yellow lids or vice-versa, but like I said, it was uncomfirmed.

For telling apart mugs of the same color, what about using a small sticker on the inside of the handle, or on the lid? It would be easy to get it off once you got home...even if you had to use a little 'goo be gone.'

They sure do! That's what we do every time we go since we're a family of 5. We took a blue one and an old purple one from POR which made for 5 different mugs.

We had to improvise last time we went with a family of four. We switched the tops with the handles. That way we had DS has black handle, red top, DD has Red handle Yellow top, Mom has Yellow Handle Red top and Dad had Red Handle, Black Top. Kinda confusing, but it can be done to switch stuff around.

that's a great idea! I still find it curious that almost all the rooms are for 4 people, and there are only 3 colors fors mug tops
