Hi LInette!!

And just because she looked so cute!!!
100_0698.jpg

Looks like you struck gold again Wendy! We received our package yesterday and the kids just loved the fabric! My D8 wanted the princess you sent so I might just have to make something for her with it. Thank you again! Oh and BTW, the puppy is just too cute!!!!! I have a black shih tsu boy :dog2: and a gold shorkie girl :dog: , what breed is yours? She is just too cute!

LisaZoe

Did you make a top that sold on e-bay that said the word "TINK" but the angled parts of the K were made to look like Tink's wings? If you did, can I CASE it (it would be one top made for my dd who LOVES Tink, I wouldn't be selling it anywhere)?????

Emily

That's not a tee I did but it sounds very cute. I don't know who might have made the tee you have in mind.

This is DD all time favorite dress! LOL DD4 thought it was hysterical and it has really grown on me. I was going to make DD4 a new MI outfit but she said she liked her skirt a lot from last year so I just did a new tank top.

All of the customs are cute but Mike is perfect. What a fun variation on that character.

I am not going to lie I LOVE Mike. Sometimes ideas do not pan out and then sometimes they do. I am so glad this one worked. You know I might have to do family tees. I am trying to find away to get my DH is a few customs. He is not hearing it. LOL I should just make tee shirts and then pack his bags. He will not have a choice!

You should definitely do a tee or two for your DH. Disney is the perfect place to wear something whimsical that an adult might not wear elsewhere. I was pleasantly surprised that my BILs were more than willing to wear appliqued tees I made for them on our trip last year. I stuck to the classics with Mickey and Donald for them. The tees got worn twice on the trip and one BIL wears his often since then. In fact, he considers it his 'nice' shirt. LOL

Ugh.... OK just have to have a mini vent non sewing related. (sorry) I just got off the phone with Ex-dh (soon to be) Can you believe it will be a year next month. Lately I have been really sad and depressed about the whole thing. On Georgia's birthday it was super hard since we did it together. but we played nice for the Peach. But it just made it that much more difficult you know playing happy family then going to different homes. Just sucks, specially since I was not the one who wanted this split. Even though I know its for the best, doesnt make it any easier. Tomorrow is the Special person's day at school, she picked her dad. Which I think is great. Because I am here and I get to do the school things with her so its nice he is taking the time off to do this with her. But just another "happy unfamily family" moment. Then they are gonna go home to his home. In which I do not have a problem with because she needs to see her dad. That has nothing to do with me being sad. I wish he could spend time with her during the week. My sad comes from being alone. I hate it. and Im not looking for anyone, but at the same time I dont know what to do with myself. These long weekends kill me. Nothing to do with Valentines day as an adult I never celebrated it myself (I think love should be daily not just one day) she has monday off too. My roomie is out of town so no distraction there, and all my friends (the few I have locally) are off with their special people. Just makes me sad.

Ok mini vent over...sorry for being a whinner. Back to cutting and sewing!

I totally understand. My BFF is going through something similar right now with the ending of her marriage of almost 20 years.

Just makes me sad.

 I'm sorry Kelly

Just stopping by to say hi from WDW! We are having a mostly great time, especially once I get my caffeine flowing in the morning :rolleyes1 Some days have seemed a little busier than others. Yesterday at MK was not bad at all :confused3 Today at Epcot was a little busier. The weather has been gorgeous, not a drop of rain. It's a tad warm though, we no longer need jackets, even at night. I did catch a few dismeet pics, Cindee..stop posting horrible pictures of me, and you need to PM me that picture of Jayden. I'm very curious! I had so much fun meeting everyone! I wish I'd made it to China a little earlier so I could've chatted a little more with everyone. Kristine, that picture of the boys and Tessa is soooo funny! I did not think Luke would actually get jealous but he really did! Hopefully we will see Dallas again this trip. They really do get along very well. I need sleep. I think we're off to MK tomorrow and dinner at Ohana. Lily has been a little angel. The other 3 have had their moments...Lily's favorite ride so far is TOT. Yes, I have the photo. And yes, she is 40" (in most shoes, not so sure about her chucks).

I'm glad it warmed up for you!!! WEren't those pictures of Luke, Tessa and Dallas cute!!! Lily likes TOT???!! Me too, but I'm suprised she does!!! Tessa informed me that she HATES it!!! Have fun!!

Here are few more things. :)

The first is our arrival outfits. I used a little artistic license on the POP colors. It is cool because my Dad is Pop so the girls can wear these on his Bday. The skirt is the flounce which I cannot say enough about!

Love all the valentine's day outfits: so cute!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I found the nursing bra pretty funny!

Here are my most recent customs. The boy's set is one I had in my unfinished project pile for a few weeks because I was struggling with the knit of the tee. I'm so glad I got it done finally.

characters1.jpg

This is another Vida... I still use that pattern a lot! I bought the owl print for another project but couldn't resist using some of it for a dress. The appliques were a lot of fun to do.

All I can say is WOW!!!!

LISA!!!! I love your Mickey. OMG it makes me almost want to have a boy. Okay feelings gone. ;)

TJ- Mike was a true Frankenpattern. I am excited to say that is all my own. I made the bodice have a round top for Mike's head. The back is a long rectangle about 18 inches wide. By using the elastic casing in the back you get a lot of growing room. Eventually Sophee can wear this over jeans.

Thank you all so much for all the kind words!!!:lovestruc :lovestruc

I am so happy for you! Babies are such miracles! And I know you count those blessings along with others everyday!

Thanks so much!! I do feel so blessed (I was worried about getting pg after the cancer) and now I am. . . so of course I am worried about staying pg, lol. I need to find an ob-gyn down here in Miami that will take my insurance, hopefully I find one soon. Thanks to everyone for your continued thoughts and prayers - they mean more to me than you know, especially since only my DH, my mom and myself know IRL. . . so your support means so much to me!! :goodvibes

OMG LISA!!!!! I wish I could tell you how many times I have said, "One day I am going to own a Lisa Zoe origional!" I keep hoping to, because you flat out amaze me! That Mickey sticking his tongue out would have been so perfect for my boys when they were younger. I mean spot on perfect for them! ( They are 16 and 12 now, and I can't see them in customs...but oh how I wish!!!!)

Now the Owls...I dislike Owls. They give me the creeps. The whole talons, and super stealth like quietness, and feeding at dark is too much like a vampire, and hey, anyone who has seen the Excorcist can't really feel comfortable with what an Owl can do with their heads. And then what they say, "WHO" I mean for me, that is way to close to "WHY" and I hate hearing that question nine hundred million times a day, so a stinking vampire-exorcist asking that question all day gives me those back twitching feelings of unease. HOWEVER....I kinda like your set:)

I love that you were able to re-use pieces from previous creations. What a great idea and they turned out as beautiful as the originals. Great Job!
Love the Mike W dress.
DH told me this week that our DD2 looks like Boo.... hmmm now to figure out what to with that information ;)

Love all the valentine's day outfits: so cute!
:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Where is Karen she would love one to wear with her boa! I love the Two Cans!:lmao:

LISA!!!! I love your Mickey. OMG it makes me almost want to have a boy. Okay feelings gone. ;)
LOL Isn't it amazing how fast that feeling goes away! But feel free to barrow my boy! LOL

The outfits are all adorable Heather! I am so jealous you're getting to go and meet everyone - even though I am a little :scared1: of doing that. What if you don't like me? :rotfl: Even though I laugh about it, it does worry me!
I know exactly what you mean! I was nervous all morning about meeting everyone. But, once we met it seemed so natural, like we'd known each other for years (which we almost have!).

Thanks so much!! I do feel so blessed (I was worried about getting pg after the cancer) and now I am. . . so of course I am worried about staying pg, lol. I need to find an ob-gyn down here in Miami that will take my insurance, hopefully I find one soon. CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I understand how scary the first few months of pregnancy can be. I'll be praying for you and the baby!

Zoey is a Schnoodle - we think - lol - she was from the SPCA!! She is 11 years old and as spunky as ever!! She is quite the dog of comfort though!!!:rotfl2:
No wonder I love her! My Tomia (the best dog in the world who died 2 years ago at the age of 16) was a schnocker, we think. She didn't slow down at all until she turned 15!

I love it! I also love seeing pictures of your little cutie!

AND, speaking of Big Gives - I really need to say this. After having given in the big give for Becca and seeing that sweet girl's joy, and then her going in to the hospital in critical condition immediately following her trip, this whole Big Give thing has come into much clearer perspective for me. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to give this little girl even an ounce of joy. I will do whatever I can, whenever I can to contribute to these children in the future.
 I know what you mean. It hit home for me when Noah got so sick and was in the hospital.

Well since you complimented me ;) (btw, I also apparently remind Heather and your mom of your relative Myrna????...still hoping that you guys LIKE that relative)
th_508944705_0_ALB.jpg

:rotfl: You got much better pictures of this than I did! I was too busy worrying if they were actually going to start fighting! I'm glad they worked it out rather quickly! Dallas was just being friendly, he didn't realize there was romance going on there! :rotfl: Tessa is head over heels with Luke. It's so funny how they were with each other!

Yes, you really remind me of Marna. I don't think you look like her, but you do talk and act like her! I never even noticed your Boston accent! But, I do know that you say "tiara" correctly! ;)

Courtney has a guinnea pig accent though!
:lmao: O-wee O-wee!

That is too precious. I had a "best boy" from the age of two. He witnessed my big sister being mean to me once and he came running to my defense shouting "DON'T YOU BE MEAN TO MY WIFE! I LOVE HER!!!" He was all of four!

alas...we didn't get married...broke up when we were seven...but I know he still carries a torch for me...his little daughter has my middle name...a coincidence? I think not...
That is such a cute story!! A little boy was in love with me when I was in kindergarten. I used to go to his house to play and such and never knew he loved me, not even when he gave me the hugest disco ball type ring.

DisneytripFeb9a.jpg

Isn't February supposed to be a non peak time?
th_DisneytripFeb10a.jpg

I still have two more memory cards to go through, and those have some photos from the Disboutique meet.
We heard the flag retreat ceremony one day, but never actually saw it. Was this the day you met up for Wishes?

Yeah right about it being the least crowded time of year! Tourguide Mike got it wrong this time!! It was SO crowded after the cheerleaders arrived! It was more crowded than usual before that, even with the cold!

th_DSC00714.jpg

Hope that helps!
That is darling!

I LOVE this POP outfit! I wanted to make Tessa something similar, but ran out of time. We seem to have a lot of the same ideas! I also loved the dress your little one was wearing in the last pictures you posted. SOOOOO cute!

have you guys seen these? I love them and think they are so cute. I can't wait to get down to Disneyland to find them. I dont know how long they have been out but I just came across them on the DL thread. Some on there do not like them. but hehe I do! totally do!

I know someone who purchased 2 sets of these!! :rolleyes1

(it wasn't me, it was Jessica)

It looks cute from what I can see! We need a bigger picture!

Gotta love a bunch of screaming cheerleaders!
You do??? :confused3

:lmao:

My mother sent me THIS LINK I thought you guys would be interested in. Check out page 2, sock monkey fans!

Love all the valentine's day outfits: so cute!

Those are so funny! I love the nursing bra. I was afraid of page 2, but I ventured there anyway. Thanks for the warning!

I just printed a 10% off everything at Joann's to go with 40% off coupon. I also got a coupon from Hancock fabrics. They are for this weekend and Monday only.

I am going to the city tomorrow to find the b&w animal print as I messed up the applique so bad! The little mickey head was smaller and I didn't get the roundness correct at all. I also need zippers, more heat n bond, machine needles, etc. I am not going to buy any fabric other than the ak if I can find it. Please remind me I said this later.

Aimee, sorry we will miss each other by days.

I am also trying to work on something for DHS? Ideas? I am still working on the dragon fabric for Epcot. I don't have anymore interfacing so that ended his shirt. I don't know what kind of skirt I want to make yet.

Lisa Zoe, I love the outfits!
Tom, that little girl is adorable and the clothes, WOW.
Minnie2, I sewed the head on broadcloth and I think ripping is going to fail?:confused3
Linnette, please check your PM's
Wendy, how is Daniel? He remains in our prayers.

Sorry if I missed anyone.

After I unpacked and such, I decided to make something for Becca and her mom, Mandy. I just feel so awful for them and all they're going through. I wanted to do something for the father, but couldn't think of anything. :confused3

Anyway, I made these yesterday and shipped them out today to the Ronald McDonald house.

I made this pillowcase using Becca's favorite colors:
109_640x426.jpg

108_640x426.jpg

I made this messenger bag for her mom. I got the pattern from ycmt. I wasn't crazy about it, though. I bought it because I thought it would be better put together than the ones in the bookmarks and I wanted to make it quickly. But, there weren't enough pictures and there were a few important typos (like it said to turn it inside out when it meant right side out). I really had to study it to get it right, but it did turn out well.

It has her name on the front, but it doesn't show up very well with the busy fabric.

Welcome home to all you who are coming home from WDW.
We loved seeing the pics of the meet!

So, my camera battery is dead and wouldn't you know we can't find the charging cord, but thats what cell phones are for right?
So these are off my phone.
She finally cooperated... kind of, but you can see the skirt on her.
vskirt1.jpg
vskirt2.jpg

She is on her third pair of shoes for the day in these pics... she started with black mary janes, then decided she wanted her boots, and by this point is in the pink mary janes :)
The skirt hits below her knees... I am wondering if we will get two Valentines our of it, we will have to wait and see.

Both kids are sick, I am hoping she will get to wear it to our church valentines day breakfast tomorrow but we will see how they are feeling.

Lily has been a little angel. The other 3 have had their moments...Lily's favorite ride so far is TOT. Yes, I have the photo. And yes, she is 40" (in most shoes, not so sure about her chucks).

Darling little Lily...that teeny tiny sprite of a thing is riding Tower of TERROR?!:scared1:

she is SO my kind of kid!!:thumbsup2 I can't believe she's grown up enough to ride the big kid rides!!!

one more thing...I find that Diet Coke first thing in the morning is a fabulous jolt of caffeine!! Never fails!!!:cool1:

They will love those! They are such a sweet family.
And both items turned out great. I like the fabric on the bag, cute!

I have been considering that messenger bag for a while now. Mostly because I like bags that can be worn cross body (instead of shoulder bags), and its the only one I see on YCMT. Thanks for the tips on it.
