Im just back from my fabric shop. I got some cute red polka dots to go with some fairytale fabric I found at WalMart.

How many people do the innerlining on the simply sweet?
I figured I would for this one since the "fashion fabric" I have is quite thin and slightly see thru, so I bought muslin for the inner fabric and a white on white for the lining fabric.

here is the main fabric I plan to use.

Grrr....Megan insisted on being the one to put the dogs in our bedroom, so I let her. Well when I got home I realized she LOCKED them in!!!! I have no way of opening the door and I'm too big, not to mention my pubic bone hurts to much for me to wrangle myself thru anymore windows. Sooo. I have no way of napping- which I really need, our couch is too squishy, I can, and probably will lay down on it, but I know I will be in worse shape when I go to get up. The dogs are now stuck in the bedroom til 7 tonight. My poor senior lab....

I neglected to mention how dissapointed I am in you all! I thought there'd be a new thread by the time I returned!

I LOVE that fabric!!!

I do the underlining on the Simply Sweet jumper. I think it gives the finished outfit a more polished look and the straps don't distort the shape of the bodice so much. But, it does turn out cute without it, too.

Your poor dogs, poor you, and your poor carpet!!

well, the good news is I have wood floors. I let them out a few hours before we left, so hopefully she'll be okay. But I doubt she would pee, she might poop- but at least its wood.
I just feel bad I cant get in, and my dogs cant get out.

i do like the fabric.
I also picked up Starry Night- Pooh Moon fabric, but I dont know what Ill do with that yet. The nursery tales fabric will be the simply sweet (like the navy blue top the model on the front has on) with easy fit pants- both with the "cuff version"
Im too tired to sew. So I guess Ill do it this weekend.

Also thinking of making a pooh themed quilt for baby's room. I need to put a twin size bed in there I think.....

Love this fabric!! That might make a great first day of preschool/kindergarten outfit. I'll have to check my Wally World..only one left with fabric and only until March. Sorry to hear about the dog being locked in.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I understand how scary the first few months of pregnancy can be. I'll be praying for you and the baby!

Thank you so much!! I really appriciate it!! It is odd to be so happy and excited but scary all at the same time, bu I just keep praying all goes well.

I've gotten myself involved in another little project...
I need two appliques for cheerleader outfits - High School Musical

Any ideas?? I can't even find a good picture online, but I think it's just the letters EHS.

Help, please!

What about the screwdriver trick? If it is a round hole you can take a wire hanger or very little screwdriver, put it in the hole and turn the knob, lock pops.

Sorry that is all I can think of. Try to rest well.

Isn't it fantastic! I adore this fabric. I have it on my cutting table. I really want to make something with it but compelled to finish WDW stuff first.

I went out today with D8 and oh my there were so many sales going on! and for those of you who know me I LOVE a bargain!!!

First was Joann Fabrics!! Oh, I could have spent ALL day there! They had additional 50% off of clearance fabric, 5 for $5 simplicity patterns (I picked up the daisy kingdom one I was talking about a couple of weeks ago). 50% off thread, interfacing, notions, trims and so much more!!! They also sent an additional 10% off coupon (I think there is one online to print too). I got 2 bags stuffed full for around $68.00!!! Most of it was fabric.

Then off to The Limited too (Justice, now). They had additional 40% off everything in the store including WEbKinz (my D8 was so happy because she brought her money that she saved to buy one). I bought 3 dresses for under $6.00 each for D5!!

Last, Gymboree. I cannot believe the sale they were having!!!! They had 6 racks full of clothing $5.99 and an additional 20% off!!!!!! I bought so much! For example 3 pairs of jeans for my D7 for $4.79 each!!!! Button down cardigans, dresses, boots, dress shoes, and even an adorable light short sleeve sweater with a hood for my d8 for $4.79!

So, I had to share with you all. If you get a chance try to get out and take advantage of the Presidents weekend sales. The stores were a bit crazy but it was so worth it! I just love a good sale!

All of the Wal-mart stores here don't have fabric anymore. I want some of that fabric. What is it called? Can I get some online?

minnievanmom- you and my husband mentioned the "little hole" thing- but theres no hole on these locks.....maybe it has something to do with the fact that they are probably from 1955....

I think when DD wakes up I am going to take her out on the deck and lower her thru the window and tell her to go open the door- all she has to do is turn the knob and it will "Pop" unlocked.
IT WORKED- She was able to open, and thus, unlock the door!!

Jessie my 7yr old cried a minute ago- I just told her "shhh" my older dog is so good- she never complains.

I do love this fabric- but it is thin- you wouldnt know it if you ordered it online. It's a "Springs" I find the quality isnt has nice as other brands, but they sure do make cute stuff!

Fabric- anywhere that carries Springs. This is Mary Englebreit.
you can view the line at www.cranstonvillage.com then search for VIP, then "Infant/Juvenile"

They have it listed as 62725X
Heres a companion fabric
62727%20G%20zoom(1).jpg

I dont know where to buy it, but this site shows it to you. Theres no # on the fabric that I see.
also says www.maryengelbreit.com on the fabric
I paid $4.44 a yd

I have a couple of pics of the boys' valentines shirts. They were a huge hit at the party we went to this morning.

The boys in their Valentine's Day shirts, don't they look sooooo excited :rotfl:

My cheater snaps, sewn on under the buttons (thank you to whoever posted the idea on the thread originally, you are a lifesaver!!)

Isaac's Shirt (I can't get this one to rotate :confused3 )

Okay, now a question, my machine died. The timing is off, so the needle thread won't pic up the bobbin thread. I don't want to fix it because it wasn't a nice machine to begin with and I would rather upgrade. I'm looking to spend around $300, so I know I can't get an embroidery machine, but can anyone recommend a machine in this price range?

After I unpacked and such, I decided to make something for Becca and her mom, Mandy. I just feel so awful for them and all they're going through. I wanted to do something for the father, but couldn't think of anything. :confused3

Anyway, I made these yesterday and shipped them out today to the Ronald McDonald house.

I made this pillowcase using Becca's favorite colors:

I made this messenger bag for her mom. I got the pattern from ycmt. I wasn't crazy about it, though. I bought it because I thought it would be better put together than the ones in the bookmarks and I wanted to make it quickly. But, there weren't enough pictures and there were a few important typos (like it said to turn it inside out when it meant right side out). I really had to study it to get it right, but it did turn out well.

It has her name on the front, but it doesn't show up very well with the busy fabric.

WOw I love good deals! Nikki is going to want to go to Justice tomorrow!
I actually just went online to see what they had and as I was looking I found my self seeing things going that is the criss cross top from ycmt or that is simply sweat! LOL

Here is Jenna's finished Valentine's outfit. I made her the shirt to match. I just used a red shirt that she already had. I didn't do anything to the hem of the skirt. I just hemmed it. The pink leggings are courtesy of Linnette. Thank you again Linnette.
S2010275.jpg

This is Jenna's fancy Easter dress. I will most probably take her to get her pictures taken in this one. Years ago I drew up a dress for Jenna and never did anything with it. I came across the picture a couple of weeks ago and decided to do it for Easter this year. I used CarlaC's Simply Sweet pattern with the Empire waist and of course the CarlaC Bow pattern. This is the large bow.
S2010272.jpg

And here is the back.
S2010273.jpg

Here is the new baby doll top dress pattern from YCMT.com. I had to add some white fabric to the part where the top makes a V. It was way too low and I found that unacceptable. Jenna picked this fabric and I promised her that I would make a dress for her. She wanted it last year, but I made her the pink roses dress last year.

And my silly goose.

And here is the rainy day that we had all day. I think that Jenny was sharing this weather with us today.

Everything is so cute! Love the new YCMT pattern! My fav though is her Easter dress it is beautiful! I must say the sneakers made the outfit perfect!:rotfl:

I hope you can get DD to go into the window. If not what about taking the door off the hinges? Just use a screwdriver and pop them off from the bottom up.

Your shirts are just perfect. I love the fabric and was thinking it would be good for AK. I am sorry, don't have a clue about new machines.

Crystal, I think Jenna is the cutest thing I have seen. She is just adorable. I love the Easter dress and the valentines is so pretty. The new V neck is cute and great for Japan in Epcot.

Sorry about the rain, it could be worse. I woke to -7 again.
