I asked a few pages back about any Hannah Montana applique ideas.... ANy one have any???

Someone posted an outfit that had a square cut from one of the Hannah Montana prints. It was simple, but cute.

I would think maybe a star or butterfly would be a good applique with her as well. I am having the same delima :)

So i am working on a journl for a big give and am making pages for give kids the world. This is the first page (the second will be about her star.) What do you think? I m going to print it on light yellow paper.

Oh I think that is great. I have never heard a MAW TR where they didn't talk about ICE CREAM!!!! :) How clever!

Do you talented ladies have room in your group for someone new? I'm a Disney Vacation buff (we live in WA and go at least twice a year), but just now venturing into the land of sewing/applique as I have a two year old and am going broke buying for her on ebay/etsy. :)

I have stayed up way, way too late reading a bajillion threads and looking at too many adorable things. But I had a question for you that I was hoping you'd be able to help me with. I've found some applique/embroidery designs on etsy that I want to purchase, but I'm looking to also purchase some of the common ones I see on so many designs on ebay - specifically, the mickey head sillhouette with a chef hat on, or a pirate's scarf, or a princess hat. Do you know which ones I mean? I'd post a link to some auctions but I think that's against the rules. :)

I have searched several different ways on ebay/etsy for them, and while I have found some, I haven't found the few I'm looking for. I know that Disney is pretty tight on regulating their brand, so I'm wondering if I'm searching for the wrong thing? Should I be searching for them using some secret non-Disney speak or something? ;)

Sincere thanks to anyone at all who can help me!! :)

Welcome! The more the merrier :)
I am new to purchasing applique designs so I will just lurk and see what help others have for you.
Glad you found us.

It really makes it all feel real!

Welcome! These folks here are to the T 100% awesome! Lots of great help, if you have a question it will get answered by at least one person who will know!

Ok so I finished my first dress/jumper. I am not happy with it :sad2: the stitching is way too loose :guilty: So I guess I will have to make a couple more before I really like the way it looks. I did make the button holes on my machine (which is really weird, I have never done that before.) anyway I didn't add buttons on it b/c I hate it..
So here is a pic of an ugly dress.. :lmao:

I think you did a great job. We always turn on ourselves specially if its our first time on something. I know I am like that with everything I do! But I think its super cute.

Aww!!! They grow so fast. I have one of those miracle grow 6yr olds, too. I have noticed that this year she has changed from a little girl to a little lady. She doesn't look like a baby anymore :(

I love the fabrics, very bright.

I know! I can't believe how much they change from 6 to 7! Last night she wanted to stay up READING! haha Who would have thought, no movie no extra water ,but "excuse me mom...I am not done reading Junie B Jones, may I pretty pretty Please read just one more chapter?!" What is that??? hahaha I love my Peach!

Its so cute!

Thanks everyone for the kind words ;) It just hard not to look past the flaws on it :guilty:

It is cute! I think we are WAY to critical of our own work!

I asked a few pages back about any Hannah Montana applique ideas.... ANy one have any???

I agree with you 100%! I am very harsh on myself and my creations all of the time. Everyone allways looks at me like I am nuts. They tell me I should go into business but I don't think I am that good at all.

How do the other ladies who sew here get passed that? Especially the ones who do make a profit on there things. Do you ever get too critical of yourselves or does that get away from you when people pay for your things?

i don't think you do, the more creative you get, the more time you spend "up close and personal" and the more you notice. Most people will not notice any mistakes, but they jump out at you because you know they are there.

but if it looks good in a picture, i probably looks great on.

Here is a little note. I Know that my kid is in heaven with Junie B Jones this year. She is gettng a small box set for her birthday. But I Found on the Random House website in the kids section that there is a whole page on Junie B. with Printable activities.

Its actually very cute so I am making a book for Georgia for her birthday with all of them. Now I am trying to find some coloring pages. It has a quiz about Junie, word search, how to make paper bows to look like hers, word wizard make words from a sentence, a Junie B Mask, tic tac toad game...so much more. I Just thought I would share the wealth in case anyone else has Junie B. Jones fans in the house.

HELP!!! The buttons I just bought are too big for my Button hole foot!!!! What do I do?????

thanks! Ok I just did a test one and the button fit in the hole I made. So I added them then of course as I am using my handy dandy seam ripper to open up the button hole I RIP THE HOLE BIGGER! UGH! Once I was done cursing like a sailor on leave and a drunk bar I used a satin stitch and pray it doesn't show!
I will try to have Nikki model it when she gets home:upsidedow

Thank you! I will print out for Jenna. She loves Junie B Jones. Have you gotten Georgia any Ramona books. Jenna likes those too. I think she really likes them, because I told her that I used to read them when I was her age. She also likes Amelia Bedelia.

Put some fray block on the torn part and it won't fray. The satin stitch should hold it in place. :thumbsup2

I have a question. I am looking for a iron on pattern for embroidery. I am specifically looking for one that has Mexican images on it. Has anybody seen anything like that or know where I might be able to find one?
