Hey Wendy,
I live not to far over the Commodore Barry Bridge in NJ and we really need some snow. :) All this teasing with the dusting of snow here and there is killing my DD, she wants to make a snowman so bad. I think tonight we will be getting a mix of snow and ice, just what we need in the morning !!! We will be slip sliding to work and school:crazy2:
Lisa

WOW~~~~ We are neighbors!! I live in Essington - the tiny town next to Philly airport!!! The cousin with all the kids that I sew for lives in Swedesboro!! Thats near you too!!! I WANT BIG SNOW!!!!!

Thanks for all the prayers...I am just a short time away from driving home but wanted to give an update on my Granny.

They were unable to give her tPA because they don't know when she had the stroke. They are not sure why this happened and there are meds missing from her pill box that should still be in there...tonight's, and all of tomorrows...we don't know if she took them all by accident or if she never filled the box, which would be strange for her.

She was only able to say "Granny can't" this morning when she was trying to get my mom...now she can put 3 & 4 words together. She is walking and can only lift one arm. They will be running more test between now and when I get there I am sure. I will try to keep you updated...I am so sure that all your prayers had made the differnce. Thank you.

Praying hard for your Granny - get her into therapy asap - makes a big difference if you can get the brain going and using both sides of the body, even if her other arm has to help lift that arm up!!! Hopefully they will start therapy at her hospital ASAP????? Sounds like she is on the right track already!!:flower3:

Can you guys tell me where you get your teflon pressing sheets?
I've called Hancock fabrics, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and Wal Mart and most of them had no clue what I was talking about, but went and looked and said they don't have it.
I really don't want to order one online. I want it now! :snooty:
I have my applique all cut out and ready to go. :(
I got one at the Handcocks in Austin, TX - but I also saw it at our local Joann Fabrics....

I got mine at Joann's in the notions section. Near the irons.

I haven't had internet for two days but I wanted to say;

Megan is happy that Morgan wanted to match her! She says, "now we can be twins!"

Jacob says he likes the dumbo outfits and, "how did Heather get their names on there in Disney language?" He is most impressed!

Now, I have to quick go back and see what I've missed before the darn internet goes out again!

I haven't even thought of valentines day and I think little will wear something she has to the dis meet.. I am such a bad boutique mommy:scared:

Today, I was wondering how many of Lydia's outfits she could wear again this year. I did make her the Wall-E outfit this summer, so she hasn't worn that to Disney yet, but her Wild Minnie and her Giselle, I'm hoping will still fit! (The Giselle is getting close though!)

I've seen them at Field's Fabrics (I think that is more of a Michigan store) and Joann's, ours were near the umm, shoot, the name is escaping me!!! The stuff you use for appliques! I've never seen it at Hobby Lobby, but then again, I've never really looked there!

1.)I love the look on her face too. I haven't seen that look since Heather made her dress. I cried when I took that picture.

2.)I'm glad they did too. We get 1 channel and it's not one of the main ones. I think the whole thing is silly.
1.)Aww, that is so sweet!
2.)It stinks, doesn't it! Today, I had the digital box on, and was watching Ellen. Then, all of sudden "No Signal"!!! Nothing had changed, the signal was just gone! I was peeved! Thankfully, I was just able to unhook the box!

Corey showed me an online site were there are lots of full length shows and even movies. http://www.hulu.com it's free too! I just wish we could watch it with our Wii browser on the TV! Then, I'd be all set!

Here's my first ever Minnie set. I started with the stripwrk jumper and capris. I've been dying to try an apron, so that was next. Of course I needed a tee to take pictures with just the jeans and apron...

Well we practically are neighbors,:) I live in Woodstown, which is just one town over from Swedesboro. Looks like we are going to get snow but by the morning it will be icy, then rain. Love all your creations and I hope Daniel is doing well.

TESSA!!!!!! I LOVE YOUR HAT SCARF!!! WAYYYYYY TOTALLY COOL!!!!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Zoey wants to know if you think she would look good in a hat like that?? She LOVES fleece - she likes to find a fleece blanket, fluff it like crazy and then curl up on it!!!!!!
Do I have the only dog that blinks when you try to take her picture?????:rotfl2:

This is a hat and scarf that Tessa made all by herself. It involved lots of knotting and a little bit of sewing with a big plastic needle. She was SO proud of herself!! She is trying to imitate the girl on the box in this picture.

I think that's it for now! I will be happy if I don't see another ruffle for QUITE some time!!

I tried resizing the pictures in photobucket. I hope it worked!

Okay ladies and gents,
I'm ready to post something I made this week. My MIL gave me 6, yes 6, yards of this brown fleece that I don't really care for. It's nice fleece and I'd like to use it, so I'm racking my brain trying to think af things I can do to make the fleece a little more appealing. I graduated from Colorado State University, we still live in the area, and their colors coordinate with the brown fleece. So as my brother (also an alum) would say "GO C-SUE".

Poor Noah is not feeling well, I think this might have been the only time he laughed all day :guilty: . Then when we took off his jacket, he melted down because he had thought we were going outside :guilty: :guilty: .

Also, I just wanted to celebrate with you guys because I know you'll understand: I officially booked my WDW package today:cheer2: !!!! We are staying for 9 nights, 10 days at the Wilderness Lodge. I can't wait!

Prayers said for everyone's grandmas. I would be devistated if something happened to my grandma, so my heart goes out to you.

I love these!! So cute and different!

The Minnie outfit is sooooo pretty!!! I love how you can do so many things with it!!!! Great Job!!!:thumbsup2

Dumbo outfits are so cute too!!! How do you make the skirt more than 1 layer like that ? is it really just layers different lengths???? Great Job!! you are so lovin your embroidery machine, arent you?????:thumbsup2

This may be a silly question, but what is 1/8" cording?

I am making a dress with a collar and it calls for 1/8" cording to make piping in the collar. I can't say I've ever used it before (heck I've never done a collar that I can think of either, so I am in all new territory). Is the piping there to hold the collar stiff? Is it required? I'm doing the middle dress on the pattern in the attached link. I'm working on the underdress right now. I have everything cut, but then I realized I didn't get piping. I hate when you are on a roll and don't have a piece needed for putting it together.

http://www.mccallpattern.com/item/M3949.htm??tab=infants_toddlers_children&page=8

I'm debating if I am going to do the pinafore or a Simply sweet top to go over the underdress.

I love the Dumbo family set. That is so cute!

I love this!! How did you do the applique? I know I read earlier in the thread that it is popular right now. Is it something you downloaded or purchased? Or are you just such a sewing diva that you made it yourself :)

The face is just so cute!!

This is really cute, and I LOVE the fabric. May I ask where you got it? I'm done with my Valentine's outfits, but wouldn't mind snagging some for next year.

I got the fabric at Hobby Lobby - the valentine's fabric was 40% off.

:cheer2: TESSA - I just love your hat and scarf! You look so cute in them and you did a fabulous job making them!!!!:cheer2:

I am attempting to begin my Feliz and was wondering what tutorials everyone uses? I know there are at least 2. This dress will be my tester dress!

Also, I am still unsure about sergers...HELP! Anyone like a cheap one?

The Feliz tutorial I used was this one: http://trilliumdesign.blogspot.com/2008/11/feliz-sew-along.html I think she has it divided up into 4 parts - the link goes to part one, then on the right hand side, she has links to go to the other parts. Good luck and post it when you're finished!!

Super cute! Great job using the brown fleece!

Totally OT here, but Caleb lost BOTH of his top front teeth on Sunday. He needs to STOP GROWING UP ALREADY! I need to download the pics, but I'll post some of my newly toothless boy soon.
