JESSICA JESSICA JESSICA!!!!

I love the shirts they are super cute. :) I love the "Dallas" shirt. That is so cute. What a good idea! We have those little guys too. I wonder if Brett would wear a "Brett" shirt. hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Linette- I love Donald. He is my DD2 main squeeze. She would flipped over a little boy in that.

A few more things to share . . .

The first is Jasmine- Both of my girls have this one.

The next is Chip and Dale. DD4 is going to be Chip and DD2 is going to be Dale. They are going to wear these to Chip and Dales Campfire Sing Along. DD4 skirt is a little different. She has a patchwork skirt instead of strips.

JasmineChipDale014.jpg

Finally, my model was more that cooperative to put on this one. I wonder why!!! I just need to find a way to get it off of her. This is for DD2 to wear on her sisters Birthday night. DD4 has this in Snow White but was to "busy" to take pictures.

Waughzee made the tiara and JennWDW made the bows.

***Notice only one ballet slipper. The other is MIA. It would have been easier to take the remaining slipper off of an alligator.***

:confused3 I started sewing at 8:00 am today, I will say that I spent around 4 hrs just trying to come out with the pattern!!!:sad2: :faint: I was having a hard time because the pattern looked so little I was not even sure...
2008_01280006.jpg

I was not confident in my appliques skills so I use a store bought one

its been a long day for me:crazy2: I am not totally happy with the outfit maybe I should do another one and put a lining:sad2: or do a different outfit ....Linnette
Linnette, it looks great. How on earth can you make an entire outfit in just a day? I love it and understand needing a bit of help now and then with the simple things. I read that the little guy needs lightweight clothing because of his backpack that carrys things he needs. I just love everything you make. You need to hurry over and get signed up for school. I don't know anyone else who makes clothes out of ideas with no patterns. You have amazing talent!

Aimee, I love the outfits and the new take on the princesses. Great job!

Aimee! Those are super cute! Glad there is a solution to the cuties! Looks like it worked out wonderful!

I love Chip or is that Dale! Whichever he is adorable!

I plan on making Lin and I shirts also with the people. I just need shirts for us! I love how cute they are! I can't decide if I want our names or Mom and Dad though. Any thoughts!

Ok I need your honest feedback.
Instead of doing cheap china crap toys for Party Favors I have decided to make t shirts (Not super fancy, just a basic one) anyway I just got done sewing DS's (His is like the "test" one)
So tell me what you think.. FYI the frey check is still drying on it right now..
Walleshirt.jpg

I think having a shirt is much better than some crap that ends up in the trash in a week. The kids will love it.

Very cute. The kids will love getting something personalized like that.

I would much prefer a shirt instead of goofy little toys! I think they'll be a big hit! The boys around here just love Wall E!

I think the bday shirt favor is a great idea. I was thinking of doing tutu favors for my DD's bday.

Jessica, I think Mom and Dad would be cute. It is such a clever applique. Just an FYI for everyone- I bought a few digital designs and Jessica was going to make tee shirts for the girls. The designs were awful and corrupted her sewing machine. I felt just awful. I am still excited Jessica is going to do shirts. We just have to figure out what but I am excited.

Good, now I don't feel so stupid making 20 ... :sad2:

OMG Amiee!!!! I love them :) Do you make the princesses (sp) all by hand?

Sorry, I didn't see this last night Linette!

I do have an embroidery machine, but I don't use it for appliques. I get annoyed using it 90% of the time. I have used it before (for my first Wall E, Haunted Mansion Ghosts, and for the Malificent Minnie). I have a Brother Disney Ult2002D. It is about 8 years old but was the mega one back then (along with the mega price).

I hand pieced the boy and the broom and all our christmas stuff. I don't think I have used the machine to applique since October when I did the HM. I did use it last night for Dallas' name.

Thanks for the compliments! I will say, that I would assume having an expensive machine makes it sew better, but I also have a cheap costco one that works just fine!
Can you post pics of the HM shirts. I am doing a HM outfit for Jenna for our Halloween trip and I would love to see what you made.

I think that is a great idea. Atleast this way you know they will get used and not thrown away a week after the party.

Aimee-Do I even need to say it? These are gorgeous. Sophee looks so cute. Her shoe will turn up soon and then she will be happy again.

Ugh!!! I lost all but one quote! Here goes: Everything is super cute. I love the idea of using shirts for favors instead of toys. The cartoon princesses are very cute!!!

Thanks!
OK everyone - would it be tacky to have a GIANT framed pic of Audrey Hepburn in my sewing room? (As much as I want pics of shirtless Sawyer, from LOST I think that might be a tad tacky)

Thanks!
Stephanie

No way! It is your own personal space. Do it up however you want!

Can you post pics of the HM shirts. I am doing a HM outfit for Jenna for our Halloween trip and I would love to see what you made.

I'll load them into photobucket later today (but it is nap time right now). If you don't want to wait there are some in my etsy store, go take a sneak peek. I took like 3 zillion pictures of Dallas in his outfit and even got quite a few of either Lin or I in ours. There is stuff on the back of Dallas' jeans, but they aren't in the etsy photos since I have no intentions of doing that many machine appliques again. Dallas just LOVES the HM so I did it for him!

My DD2 was sitting on my lap while I looked at these.
She smiled at the Jasmine one...she doesn't really know Jasmine yet. Said "Hey a Chip and Dale dress" or the second one. And Gasped as the sleeping beauty dress....then said "Look mamma, a princess dress!"

I love them all, but I think she had a favorite ;)
Great job!
And love the single ballet slipper ;)

At some point I saw embroidery designs on eBay of mickey scared in a doom buggy and the hitchhiking ghosts. . .

I lost my quotes! Where did they go? That is so annoying...now from memory...

Linnette! LOVE the Donald Outift! Sooo cute!

Love the water bottle carrier thingys...I will be making those for sure and some for my mom's trip in April. She is taking my niece and my cousin and her daughter.

Yes...I had always planned to use my tax money for WDW...the good news is, I got enough back to more that pay for adding a dining plan!:cool1: I have a hard time talking DH into it...but I really want to go to more sit down places this time...so really it only makes perfect logical sense to get it...right? I dropped the bomb on him that just the 4 meals I had planned was about to run $400 and he gave me a look like what? Really, he has no idea how much these trips cost...if he did, we might not ever go...I do a lot of create finiancing in the months before.

Oh...he decided to help me clean lat night while I was at dance with Katie...when I came home, he had cleaned the kitchen and the kids play room and the living room...I thought great! That was until this morning, when I spotted a bag that used to be in my sewing room!:faint: Oh no! I went and opened the door...all my nicely ironed fabric was cramed into the cabinet! And the pieces I had cut laying on my ironing board...I think he thought was scrap, becuase I found one in the trash can...who know where the rest are! I guess I'll go searching....I am glad he helped with the cleaning...but he MUST stay away from that room!:sad2:

I guess I have my DH trained well enough. He doesn't touch anything fabric unless it is already clothing. :lmao:
Celan your DH's clean:crazy2:

YOU DO THEM BY HAND!!!??? Ok now I am even more impressed! It actually makes me feel so much better because I know I can't hand applique! Maybe I can beg my MIL to make Kyle one of those star Wars Tshirts... She is amazing with hand stuff.. Me I need a machine!

LOVE the idea of the shirts! The only thing I would say is maybe ask the parents how they feel about their kids name on a shirt . I am funny with those kind of things. and it is so cute I would hate for a child to only be able to wear it inside as pj's. Maybe it is just me...

These are gorgeous! I love those princesses so much! I wish they came in a 4x4 hoop size!

???
I think it was Stephers who made shorts for Jacob with the Star Wars panels? I just bought the panels and I was thinking about shorts but I am not sure....

Cool!

Ok here are a few things I have been doing.
IMG_0774.jpg
a nightgown for my niece and I also made one for my girlfriends dd. I was so happy i found the fabric which is satin backed with flannel for 2.5 a yard!!!!

IMG_0775.jpg

shorts i made for my nephew. I made Kyle pj's with the same material.

IMG_0776.jpg

IMG_0777.jpg

A flouncy skort i did for Nik.
IMG_0778.jpg

Ok here is where I need help! do I leave the tshirt plain? Do I brave and applique? Keep in mind my disaster not to long ago! Do I try t find a flower to embroider on it. Though I am not sure I have one that would go with the skirt. Do I make a Round neck shirt to go with it for the summer? I can actually do that either way and she could use the tshirt under it. Or is that just too much pattern for a 9 yr old???
