I started sewing at 8:00 am today, I will say that I spent around 4 hrs just trying to come out with the pattern!!! I was having a hard time because the pattern looked so little I was not even sure...

I will tell you that I forgot how to cut the sleeves and my mother came to my rescue

this is the outfit

I was not confident in my appliques skills so I use a store bought one

Linnette, it is GORGEOUS! I love it. I would pair it with a white undershirt and think it would look INCREDIBLE!

Im almost embarassed to post this after that, but I promised someone I'd show them Tim's animal outfit made to coordinate with his sisters Valentine animal print outfits - do you think the heart on the shirt is too girlie? It means he loves animals - which he does...(he is 4)???

Simply Sweet! I know others have commented on this but I'm going to give my vote. You can cut out your strips for the skirt and if you use the empire waist style top with the Simply Sweet it is very similar. Good luck, you'll love it!

LOVE IT Linette! It's fantastic, do not do a different outfit. I love the decorative yellow stitching around the collar. It really is perfect!

Ugh! I am having an evening. Annoyed with the camera. Batteries are dead for my one, all 4 sets are dead! I have the worst luck with rechargable batteries lately! They just don't recharge and I let Dallas burn through a set on his camera.

So, get my new camera out which just seems to suck! I wanted one to fit in my pocket and is more then 2x the megapixels I usually use but it just stinks! So here are some horrible pictures.

Oh, and I used a red shirt, which I don't like and forgot I wanted it to put Fantasia Mickey on. I am having shirt issues because I don't have any in size 8! Or well, for any of us for the most part.

I know, atleast they are silly things to be bothered about.

Boy oh Boy First I just wanted to say I love all the new outfits! Donald is to die for! So I got me a serger and the ruffle foot the other day and have been down in the basement just talking like a sailor! haha. I guess I just have to get used to it all but I think I really do HATE that ruffle foot thing! grrrr. lol I am currently working on DD(2) twirl skirt for animal kingdom. I hope to have it done tomorrow with some pics to share. Keep up all the good work and I hope everyone who is not doing so good gets better.

This is amazing! It is my favorite so far! You are just like me though, always doubting and always picking apart the little things!

Do you have any storybook panel batting? That would probably work. It's more condensed than regular batting.

Oh, and whip up a couple for me would ya?

No storybook batting. All my storybooks were always sold by the yard! Otherwise I would have a TON of batting, maybe say enough for 16 storybooks!

I'll make you a trade Jeanne! I'll whip some up for you and you sew what I need to!

I have no desire to sew things I should be sewing. No desire to go the mall which is a MUST and has been for a week or so now. Anyone want to go shopping with me?

I am also disgusted with the weather lately. I know, I have no reason to complain, it isn't even that icky here and really Orlando will be fine, but for some reason I am just like blah.

They are four layers of fabric and they are attached with a wicked zig zag stitch about 4 times over. They will hold the weight of a water bottle no problem. I wouldn't make them with ribbon like the tutorial shows.
