CLOSED - FRIDGE LOST - The Under-POP-ulated Fridge Swap

Should we buy a coffee pot also? It would add $2 to everyone's cost.

I emailed you back, Joe. Disregard the part about giving me your dis name...read my email before checking the dis. LOL

Bambi, no big trouble really. A few minutes on the phone was all it was really. It's hard to pick a fridge when you can't see it though...I hope everyone will be happy with it! And everyone at WeGoShop is SO nice...they really are a pleasure to deal with!

I looked at the thread more and I actually arrive the 31 of July and for some reason I didn't think the swap was available to the 1 of Aug. I can actually do the swap July 31. This makes me more excited.

And thanks for the welcome!

Switched you to the 31st! :) Maybe you & Tissa can arrange a face-to-face swap!

That would be fine with me. I'm driving so I have no set time I'm leaving. Just depends on how ready to go home I am.

I fly in on the 31st around 10:30am so I should be at the Pop around noon at the latest as long as the ME isn't really backed up. If you have to leave earlier, no worries as I think I saw that you can leave it at the front desk or something? I'm new to this fridge swap thing haha.

You leave it at bell services, not the front desk. It's located right outside the doors to the lobby - very easy to find. You can borrow carts to get the fridge to your room.

Hey Under-POP-pers! The fridge looks great! Now that August hours are released I am heavy into park planning and ADR planning! :goodvibes

I'm so jealous you get to plan, schooner!! I still have some time. My tentative list of park days & ADR's is done on my very colorful spreadsheet. LOL But it may all need to get switched around! It's SO annoying to not be able to make ADR's til 90days out. :( Makes us planners go crazy!!

I am still waiting for Sept hours! I'm with you Avonlady I have a very colorful spreadsheet all setup but will prob have to move some dinners around once the hours come out. I hate this whole 90 day thing too!

On a bright note DH came home last night and said his office is thinking of sending him to a conference at the Swan & Dolphin at the end of Sept. We looked last night and it starts the day we check out of Pop! So if they decide to send him I think we may change our flight and just move over there. DD and I would hang by one of their 5 pools or make a day trip to a park while he's at the conference. Only down thing is we can't do the evening activities with him because you have to be 21 or older :( On night is Universal but since we wouldn't have anyone to watch DD I wouldn't be able to go and their Camp Dolphin is for ages 4 and up and DD will only be 3!:confused3

I'll be waiting on hours for FOREVER.. I need October!

This is killing me, I'm a total planner and haven't been to the World since 09/07 and things weren't this drug out then, I don't think. I know I had ADRs at 180 days, at least!! And this is my first baby trip.

Is anyone on here doing dining plan (other than you freebie dining planners? ;) which i totally would have taken advantage of but I wanted Lucas to be older!) ... I'm still trying to decide if I want to add QSDP but I'm thinking with DH's healthy appetite it'd be a smart move to add it..

Piecey: Personally, if I were paying for the dining plan, I would add QSDP over the DDP any day...seems like a great value...if you eat at the right places. There are some wonderful quick service places with great food that are pretty pricey! Think Cosmic Rays! I would not pay for the DDP OOP. But for free...I'll take it! (even though some would argue it's not really free since you pay rack rate...last time we went, we got free dining. My DSis, who came with us, didn't, but she got whatever promo that was out & paid for dining, our total price, room & dining, was exactly the same.)

I feel your pain w/ waiting til Oct...1/2 my trip is Sept, 1/2 in Oct. LOL I'll be able to plan 1/2 my trip then have to wait for the other! LOL Although looking at last years hours, they don't seem to differ much from night to night...I'm not all that interested in EMH. We know when the MNSSHP nights are, so you know MK closes at 7pm each of those nights.

JJ that's awesome!! It'll be great to add a day to hang at the Swan or Dolphin! What a great surprise! The office is "thinking" of sending him? I hope they do!

My DH is a mail carrier...no conferences for us! LOL

I think we will add QSDP. I like knowing it'll be paid for and it doesn't matter what DH wants to eat.
I'm a total penny pincher and he just doesn't even notice those pesky numbers off to the side. We were both starving one day and I saw "$1.99 Lunch Combo!" on Hardee's sign and went through and thats what I got and DH's meal ended up being $10. I swear, he doesn't even notice the numbers!! :rotfl:

DH LOVES Ohana (my brother lives in Orlando so we've been to visit and eaten at Ohana, but DH has never been in the parks!!!) so I know we'll be paying OOP for that and it'll be good to know exactly how much it'll all cost upfront.

I'm getting so excited, I can't imagine having a trip split between months, though.. they're taking FOREVER to release hours these days! We probably will take advantage of EMH simply because we'll be taking naps back in the hotel in the afternoon for baby and I'd like to be able to head back to the parks for a little bit. Poor kid will have a horrible schedule that week but I think he'll forgive me! ;)

Honestly, I don't think you'll need to worry about Lucas at all! Don't worry about scheduling for a 5mth old. IMO, he'll let you know when he's hungry...stop & feed him, when his diaper's full, stop & change him. When he's tired, he'll sleep...in the pack-n-play, in the stroller, in your arms...on POTC or It's A Small World. When DD was 1, she slept all thru POTC! LOL Couldn't believe it....floating past the canon's & she's passed out. :)

The baby won't care where he is or what you're doing. He won't care how late you stay out or how early you start the day. LOL Babies are wonderful that way...and they sleep no matter what (or how noisy it is!) My kids did/do at least...I'm sure there are babies out there that will contradict me. LOL Hopefully Lucas will be a good baby for you!

We've never been to O'hana...maybe we'll have to go there this time. Trying to hit up some new ones. LOL

My DH is the same...I look for the cheapest thing on the menu, and he does whatever he wants! LOL Though, he's getting the hint. We had McDonald's for dinner last night...he ordered off the $1 menu! This is after years of yelling about how he doesn't need the meal LARGE...we have soda at home! So he ordered 4 items...still cheaper than the meals! :) Maybe there's hope after all.

I know what you mean. We'll go out to eat at someplace like McD's or BK or something and he'll order a LARGE drink. I'm like HONEY, free refills. FREE! :rotfl:

Ohana is WONDERFUL! I have eaten at Ohana sooo many times and I'm still not sick of it. We love going during the fireworks and watching while we eat but this year I am going to try to make our ADR earlier and watch them on the beach.
My bro got us a camcorder for Christmas (and as a very belated wedding gift) and I'm excited to get to film the fireworks, the parades, etc. this time around. And of course, film Lucas, too!!

I hope he's a good baby. It's been an amazing pregnancy and I can't believe it's almost over! If he's anything outside the womb like he is in, he'll be a great little boy!! :)

I love the DDP! This will be yr #3 for us. The 1st was while I was prego then last yr for free and again this yr for free! If I had to pay I would get the QSP! That is a deal! We thought about upgrading to the deluxe plan just so we could do more 2 table service meals but decided we didn't think DD would sit through those longer meals. Maybe next yr.:confused3

DD slept through the entire show or Country Bear Jamboree! She loved that it was dark and cool and just passed right out!

If DHs office decides on sending him to this conference we would be there from the 20th until the 25th! That would be 5 extra days for us!!! :woohoo: We would be there from the 10th until the 25th! Wow! I was thinking too we could send DD home with my parents and that way DH and I would have 5 days to ourselves but I don't think DD would go for that.:confused3 She is a mommy's girl so I can see it now her screaming on the plane for her mommy and my parents being stopped by TSA and questioned. I think DD and I would be fine hanging by the pool and maybe enjoying a park in the evenings when it's cool. We could use it as our rest time after pushing the week before!

That sounds like a great plan-- I'm jealous! It's like the mini-vacation you need to recover from a Disney vacation! :rotfl:

If you use the quick service plan - make sure you check out Wolfgang Pucks Express. The food is fantastic but very expensive - I think our QS meal in December was over $35 for 2 of us. I would not pay OOP for it - I'm too cheap to spnd that much on a QS meal.

Earl of Sandwich in DTD makes some amazing sandwiches!! We'll have to try Wolfgang's. Still haven't done that one. :)

Is it bad that I can't wait for Shena to come home so we hear about our fridge? LOL I feel like I'm rushing her vacation...wonder what they're doing right now in WDW...sigh...wish I was there too! I know it's almost lunchtime...could go for a sandwich from Earl's right about now. :(

We're trying to decide right now on whether to go to Wolf gang Pucks or Earl of Sandwich for one of our quick service meals. Maybe we'll just do both:rotfl2:

Our Vacation Planning DVD came today... I made DH watch it.

He wasn't as thrilled as me and went straight in the bedroom to take a nap.
Geesh! I need this kid to love Disney so I have someone on my side! ;)
