I so have to chime in here.. Pete and Penny I'm so glad that all went well.. and there was no hard feelings when meeting up...

I think some are due apologies around here, but that's just me! It's the holiday season and I wish happiness to all --- Enjoy it!

I disagree about how things got "ugly" when I joined in. You assumed that you were right, you got nasty and when I didn't bow to your demands you made it look like I was the bad one... Well, turns out you were dead wrong and the fridge wasn't even yours. I'm glad that it's all come out in the wash!

This whole process put a bad taste in my mouth that I joined DVC, no more swaps for me! First and last.

As for stopping by, I can stop by anytime I wish but it seems your rightful place is back on "mute".

I was going by the posts of the swappers in Christas swap, by the pics they posted & when the current swapper said, Yes, this is the fridge we have right now & posted pics of our fridge. Fridge must've gotten swapped or mixed up right after that. And there was no way to tell until we got a hold of it that it wasn't the right one anymore. If you & Christa had been a little quicker to swap it back, we may have our right fridge right now.

I didn't ask you not to stop by. You are welcome here anytime...that is the true spirit of the Dis. It's a public thread in a public forum...anyone is welcome to post anything they wish.

As for your bad taste...I have that same taste. BUT, I'm not going to let some actions & words of a select few "bad Disers" ruin my respect for the other members of the Dis, the Dis as a whole OR the idea of swaps because I think they are all wonderful. When people come together like this (in a swap) to help each other out, how can that be bad?

Just so you are aware, my inbox has been overflowing with PM's from other Disers, who did not want to post on Christa's thread, offering me their support and kind words of encouragement to not give up on getting our fridge back from you guys. We were also being discussed in other forums and on Facebook (I've been told) and those discussions have revolved around the bad actions of the swappers on Christa's swap & how MY swap had been wronged...

You are one of the rare few who thinks you deserve an apology. There is no reason that, once you & Christa KNEW you had another swap's fridge, that you didn't take steps to return it AT ONCE! The only people who deserve an apology are the swappers in THIS swap. Not me, not you, but MY SWAPPERS.

I only joined a swap to have a fridge.. After changing our reservations to another resort (and finding out what a hassle this had become), we didn't need the fridge.... this is the reason I left Christa's swap.

Anyways - what's done is done -- enjoy the Holidays!

That's right. It's all over & in the past...so why is it you keep coming back to post more nonsense? Enough is enough already! Let it go. I am! I have forgiven all of you for the way you acted toward me & my swappers. It is Christmastime - the season of love and forgiveness. If there's anytime to forgive people, it's now.

Wow - I am shocked at this stuff, and the irony is that Penny described the under-POP-ulated fridge box - it was a booster car seat box with green tape, which if that's the one pete gave her, it sounds like the right one that belonged to this swap in the first place.

It's impossible to keep track of a swap from thousands of miles away, especially when people are focussed on their vacations and getting going to the parks and stuff. I think it's worth the extra $ to stay at a moderate and just get a fridge (and the pool towels!!) included. LOL.
