CLOSED - FRIDGE LOST - The Under-POP-ulated Fridge Swap

In the event the coffee maker won't fit inside the fridge, I have prepared a box for it. I'll post a photo when I get back but for now here's a description:
It's a cardboard Famous Amos cookie box about the size of 2 shoe boxes. I put a label on 2 sides with a LGMH that says Do You DIS and The Under-POP-ulated Swap. I'll put the next swappers info on the top side.

I also wrote right on the coffeemaker The Under-POP-ulated Swap, including the glass pot. It fits snugly inside the box but I wrapped a few paper towels around the glass.

This coffeemaker makes 10 cups and is designed for the flat bottom type filters. I don't have any filters in with it so make sure you bring some!

Yes, that is quite obviously our missing fridge & coffeepot. This is crazy. LOL They have a box that has our name all over it...and no one thinks that's odd? Not sure whose fridge WE have now...

True! LOL But, whose fridge have WE been using? I feel terrible...I'll have to get someone to take a pic...Have to figure out a way to get our fridge/coffeepot back now...I PM'd the other leader...hoping to hear from her.

My phone rang this morning at 6am (I'm on the west coast). I had the thought that maybe Pop had found the fridge and was calling me. But, it only rang once and I didn't get it in time. And there was nothing on the caller ID. LOL Is it obsessive to think of a fridge when the phone wakes you out of a dead sleep?

I highly doubt POP would be calling you. LOL They'd just as soon trash it.

I know it! But, the CM girls that I've talked to at LS are sweet as punch! I had one girl who, I swear, was so apologetic I thought she was going to cry! Sounds like the manager isn't as sugary though.

When I got to POP on Friday and called luggage services they said they did not have a fridge with my name anywhere. I called the swapper before me and left them a a message to see if they had any info and whether or not they had seen the fridge but they never called me back.

The morning I called again because I thought a fresh pair of eyes might help things. Again, nothing with my name or anything labeled Under-POP-ulated. They did tell me they had a little black fridge with no name and no box just sitting in there so I told them to let me look at it. I knew it definitely wasn't ours but they said I could use it so I did! I took some photos that I will post later to see if it belongs to any of the DIS swaps.

I didn't label the fridge for the next swapper since I know it's not ours. I did send the coffee maker to storage in a box, labeled with the next swappers name and info and some LGHM's. So if our original pot was found....we now have two I guess.

When our fridge is found, how about writing our name ("Under-POP-ulated Fridge Swap")on the sides of the fridge in paint pen? No labels needed. Just "grafitti" the sides of the fridge. There'd be no mistaking that (at least I'd hope not).

BTW, plane tickets have been purchased, and resort reservations will be made in 3 weeks. POP, here we come! Woo hoo~ Keep us on this list!

Yes, the whole thing is a big mess. Our original fridge IS there w/ our nice pretty box on it. The other swap has pics to prove it. It should be in luggage services now & stay there hopefully til DisneyDadNY gets there. He'll be taking a pic of our box & doing his best to get his hands on it. Hopefully that will get our swap back on track.

Thanks for the update & I'm really glad you had a fridge to use!! I know that the swapper before you wrote your name on it...so something's fishy w/ the people in luggage services. Others are speculating that they're just giving any old fridge to whomever asks for one...not paying attention to names. Don't know about that, but it seems something's up!

As of 10/31 my swap still had your fridge. Lets see if we can get this straightened out for you guys. I am working on contacting my next swapper with pictures of your fridge and hopefully they can make arrangements with your swapper to trade off.

I should be getting to POP about 12:00 - 12:30 on Friday and have pictures of our fridge/box printed out and saved on my laptop. As long as nobody grabs it before I get there we will get it back........

I can pick up a paint pen and label the fridge. I will be delivering the fridge to the next swapper in person so with any luck this swap will get back on track!

So far no luck on this at all. Pop had no fridge with my name on it and could not find the coffee pot the last swapper left. I even went in the the back with them and looked.

The swapper from the other swap (I am assuming) has our fridge and I have no idea where theirs is. I will keep trying to get in touch with the person who has our fridge and see if we can at least reclaim it for the next swapper.
