:welcome: to the DIS and the WL/VWL thread, Rosie11!

Thank you! This board has been fantastic for all our planning! We'll be enjoying WL in less than 3 weeks and I'm still not done learning all I need to know (probably obvious with my question about 'mickey mail' -- ha ha). It used to be so much easier to arrange a Disney trip...now with kiddies, it's nutty!!

This was just reported HERE:

Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue Not Closing for Rehab, Fall Bookings To Open this Week

Scurrilous rumor mongers–like me–have been claiming that Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue will be closed from October 1 2012 through December.

Never mind.

Word from multiples sources (see this, this and this) is that Hoop Dee Doo bookings for those dates will open later this week–as early, possibly, as June 12.

The times will be different: 4p, 6.15p, and 8.30p. I’ll update my itineraries and to-do lists this week.

Note that those planning to get to Hoop via the boat from the Magic Kingdom for the 4p show should be at the boat dock by 3p at the latest, to avoid the risk you’ll get trapped in the crowds returning to Fort Wilderness after the 3p parade.

Well, it seems DD thought three resorts in 14 days was one too many and brilliantly suggested we cancel YC/CL and instead extend our AoA and WL/CL stays. So I changed our reservation (again:rolleyes1) and canceled YC, added a day to AoA and 3 days to WL. DD said she preferred the beach at WL to crowded SAB and I have to say I agree:thumbsup2

This time next Sunday I will be relaxing at the WL.
:yay: Will you be checking in with us from our favorite Lodge?

:banana: Doing the double digit dance!:banana:
Yippee for those double digits!

We're all happy to answer any questions you might still have. Many of us have been many times and we still have questions, so don't be shy, Rosie11.

I see that the Cubs Den age starts at 3, fully potty trained. My DD will be 2 yrs, 11 mos when we go, and fully potty trained. Has anyone had any similar situation or know whether they might allow her?

To WDWKOOK - the upgraded room is a rehab. You could smell the new carpet in the hallway. The new bedding is very nice. No more yucky bedspreads!

Looking forward to your review on AoA!! :)

Thank goodness WDWKook! ;). Now you can really relax at AoA and our beautiful WL.

Although the rooms and the pools at AoA look cool, I'm not sure about the rest of the resort. The extra space would be great tho! Can't wait to hear what you think.

Enjoy the rest of your planning!:cool1:

Interested in info about the Junior Suites....all ears does not have much info. How many people can stay in there? What is it's booking category? Anybody stayed in one and can share?

Here is the link to the most recent Deluxe room photos. These aren't photos of a rehabbed Deluxe room, but there is a link on the first page to rehabbed room photos.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2778033&page=129

There are 25 Deluxe rooms, (formerly known as "Jr. Suites") that are located on floors 1-6. The club level lounge is located on the 7th floor. I have a Deluxe room location map and more info. on the first page.

They have two balconies - one small and one regular. They are about 500 SF and they have an additional sitting room that has a queen-sized sofa bed, two chairs a coffee table and extra TV. There are two queens and one regular bathroom that can be accessed from either room. The sitting room with the sofa bed is separated from the two queens by French doors with sheer (see-thru) curtains over them. The Deluxe rooms can sleep up to 6.

Are you sure you were in the right place? The Enterprise looks very similar to WL.
:rotfl: Good one:laughing:

But, that other Ryker is spelled with an 'I' and I'm pretty sure Kirk is a CM and not a Capt., but it is pretty ironic.

Nothing really to add here, but my Avatar forced me to. For the uninformed, yes he is a Star Trek character.

We are arriving at WL on wed.!!!!! hoping for a refurbished room!!! i put in a request and the woman i spoke too didn't even know it was being refurbished!!!

Ha ha! Never thought about the connection until you posted it! Ryker is my grandson and the name is a family name. It is spelled both ways but my direct gggggrandfather spelled it with a y. Kirk is a CM that works the front desk at the WL. He was so kind to my grandson and ryker would have to run to the lodge daily to tell Kirk what he had done that day. You'll know Kirk when you see him...he is over the top! LOL!

Made a change to our flights today!!!! Changed to the first flight out of Manchester on our arrival day, and last flight out of Orlando on our departure day!!! So, now, we have max time at Disney (and WL, of course)!!!! The best part is, I saved $80 and now we have a non-stop flight home, instead of having to change planes like we were going to have to!!!

33 more days to go!!!! :yay::yay::yay:

You'll be there tomorrow:yay:. Those CMs are too funny - they're always the last to know:upsidedow. Don't forget to ask at check-in is you're on a rehabbed floor. Keep us posted if you can and have a safe trip:)

I've noticed many happy DISers today reporting air fares decreasing. I like your new itinerary and more time at WDW and a NS flight home makes perfect sense to me. Have you spent the $80 yet?
