Is it ok to boast that I only have 81 days until WL!?!? LOL...:yay:

Does anyone know if they still have archery at Fort Wilderness. I can't find info on it anywhere.

A couple more questions:

1. I will arrive around 10pm on my checkin day. I purchased tickets from UT. I understand I need to go to concierge desk to have my tickets added to our room keys. Will the desk be open at 10pm? If not can the person checking me in add the tickets?
2. If I do online checkin, can i setup charge privileges to room keys or will that have to be onsite?

Can I get help with WL Woods View Room Requests?

We arrive Saturday and it's our first stay at the WL!

We have a Woods View booked and I didn't know if I should request anything specific when I call to confirm everything or just let it ride?

Do I say anything at check-in, etc.?

It's been a while since I have been back to WDW and it's my first time taking a child!!! My niece's 1st trip to Disney!

Thanks in advance!

Ummm, is there CL, I mean a snack room, at POP now?:rolleyes1

Saving $$$ for the HRH Sept trip....DH is a values guy....we will be visiting some friends at WL and Poly if they'll have us ;) You're there when we're there...maybe, gotta check your ticker...
ok we'll all be crashing the KKC....

We're going to be staying in WL in a few weeks. This will be our second time staying there and so far it has been our favorite resort (also been to Port Orleans Riverside and All Star Music which are also great in their own ways). This thread has been really great and appreciate people taking the time to update info and respond!

Last year we stayed on the 4th floor at the inner courtyard w/ bunk beds, and I'm hoping we get that location again. One of my favorite memories from the trip was watching the water parade in the evenings after a long day at the parks. Can anyone give recommendations for room areas that have a good view of the water / parade in case they don't have an inner courtyard room available?

We are also going to try something new this year and will go to the neighboring Fort Wilderness (via boat). Our oldest daughter will be 2 weeks from turning 9 and really wants to do the trail riding. She has about 3 years experience riding horses but she doesn't meet the minimum age requirement (9)- does anyone know if they would consider an exception? We are also going to try and call to find out, but I'd like to know in advance. If tere is a no exception rule we will certainly set expectations with her before we go there.

Thanks much.

3 more weeks to go, wohoo!! To all you CL veterans (I'm talking to you WDWKOOK :goodvibes), do you know offhand any room numbers that would provide glimpses of the Magic Kingdom through the trees in North Wing? If not, do the Courtyard views offer a view of the Electrical Parade? My only concern is the music because at BLT it was LOUD and my daughter kept waking up. She was 8 months then so at 2 I'm not as concerned about her being in bed super early on vacation.

Hi! I recently stayed club level (March 2012) with a courtyard view. I booked my return trip on a bounceback while I was there. I shared my exciting news with the wonderful OFC staff. They were so wonderful that they went ahead and looked up my reservation to do the room assignment. They assure me that this room has an almost unobstructed view of the MK fireworks. If you want to pm me, I will tell you the number. You might also take a look at this map

I'm really bummed that we can't fit our family in one of the standard courtyard rooms with bunk beds this year. Stayed in Oct 11 and loved it, but even with 2 adults and 2 boys w/just an umbrella stroller, it was very tight. Now, add a pack and play, additional luggage and a full size stroller and it's simply not workable.

Decided to book at POR instead, which although smaller, because of its layout with the bathroom going east-west across the back of the room, actually affords more living space.

It's not farewell WL, it's only "see you soon!"

We did the trail ride and loved it. The horses are what you would expect from Disney, super well behaved. I doubt they are allowed to let anyone under 9 ride, but they also won't be checking birth certificates either. Use your judgement, and perhaps some rounding when you fill out the required release paperwork.
Fort Wilderness is a great destination from WL. Besides the boat, it is a nice walk through the woods to get there. Be sure to visit the stables where they keep the Disney horses and you can watch the blacksmiths work. The trail rides leave from a more remote part of FW, but there are signs and busses. We also enjoy the food at the Buffet there as well.
