This will be our first stay at the WL, end of August I booked woods view for myself, my daughter and my 2 granddaughters We have stayed many times at POFQ and several times at Poly. When I first booked our trip I rquested upper floor away from the lobby. Now after reading about the rehab, should I be more specific? Also WDWKOOK mentioned it should be noted that this is our first time at the WL. Do I have that info put with my request information or is it something the cast member writes down

This site is so informative and I enjoy all the info given, . Thank you so much. I am a real planner and all this info adds to our vacation happiness

We are a party of 4, me, (let me see if I can get the lingo correct here..lol) DW, DD and her BFF both are 17 year olds...(teenagers...ugghh!!). I digress. I would like to send my DD and her BFF to purchase mugs from Roaring Fork while we check in. I have seen some conflicting info on the hours of Roaring Fork. One site I looked at said 10pm close time while another said 12am. What is the closing time of Roaring Forks?

We received the solar gel at one of our trips. I'm thinking it was when we stayed at the Poly, beginning of December in 2010. We were staying CL, but I don't know if that's why we had it, because we stayed CL at the AKL a few days earlier (it was a split stay) and we didn't get the solar gel. I don't believe we got it the last trip to WDW (October lat year). I'll confirm with DD9, who remembers everything. She'll be able to tell me whether she was excited to get it, or jealous because she didn't. Of course, it's possible receipt of solar gel is completely random or based on the phases of the moon.

I know many are awaiting the summer AP rates. I will keep my fingers crossed for an AP rate that will cover what your BB doesn't or perhaps a FL resident rate will be released for you. I will never book at rack rate, so I can appreciate your waiting patiently for the AP rate.

The summer AP rate for WL is only 5% CR is 25% (with very little availability) UGH!!!

Thank you for the very witty CATSUP reference. And, thank you for telling us how to easily order a cake from WL. Is this the same process as having the cake delivered to a restaurant, such as CA Gill and AP?

Cakes for the restaurants are ordered through the cake hotline. For a cake to be delivered to the resort, call the WL Private Dining number. They are very nice BTW. Even when dealing with the crazy lady who ordered at GF then Poly then WL then BC

elaw recently posted a photo of the hours for Roarin Forks. I can't link to it yet, but it is post 1940 in this thread. They are open until midnight, but the grill closes at 11 PM.

I have made my ADR's, booked Illuminations Cruise, ordered two special fondant cakes, strollers are ordered and placed my grocery order this morning!

Hopefully the next 9 days FLY by!!

I totally just switched my Poly ressie to WL Club Level!!! Not only will this be my first deluxe stay, but my first CL stay as well!!!

Now, given that I am only 67 days out from my trip, when shall I expect IPO to email me, or shall I email them. I only have a few dining ressies to revise.

Welcome to the thread, 4disneygenerations!

Any room requests or celebrations are noted in your reservation by calling 407-W-DISNEY. You can also mention it to the CM when you check-in that this is your first stay at WL.

I'm not sure what you mean by being more specific with your room request because of the rehab. If you mean that you would like to make sure you get a rehabbed room, then you can have that noted in your reservation. When you arrive, there will only be about one month left of the rehab. They will probably be completing the 2nd floor of the South Wing and the 1st floor will have not been started. Any other floors in either wing, should be rehabbed by that time. You can also ask at check-in to make sure you're on a "high floor." Just remember that some of the 6th floor rooms have solid balconies that you have to stand to see over.

Right again, I think you will be there about the time they start the South Wing's 7th floor around July 7th so no need to mention North Wing. But, bunk beds aren't bookable CL, so you 'll need to request them if you want them. If you're staying CL, you can just have the IPO add any requests or celebrations to your reservation. You can even ask them later on to confirm them for you, just to be sure they're in there.

Email them now! It's so exciting getting the confirmation email from them and then a short while later you'll get an email from a real, live WL Itinerary Planner (at the Poly). HOWDY!

The high floor STD North Wing rooms can have a view of Wishes. I've read that some service vehicles arrive early and you can hear them backing-up (beep-beep-beep). Most have reported here that they were either upgraded from their SV room or they actually liked the room's location and could see Wishes and the woods and the Otter Pond off to the right (in the North Wing).

You can also take the non-stop bus to the MK. Sometimes it's actually faster than the boat.

Another question...what are the views like for a standard room CL, are they of the service area??? or can I request woods view on that too?
