Love the tile, love the carpets, but most of all, LOVE the duvets. Who would think that WL would be the first MK-area resort to get rid of those nasty bedspreads???

Soooooooooo happy to see the white duvets. And I think the throw pillow & blanket add the perfect "lodge" touch. Looks like the wallpaper border is gone, too -- hallelujah. They did a great job of making things look fresher & brighter while still retaining the classic WL charm.

Thanks so much for the photos, Macavity! If you get a chance to take a shot that shows the whole room, too, that would be fantastic.

Love what I see, super excited for our November stay & trying to figure out a way to squeeze in a trip before then.

We are here now. Lovely as I remember it. I have not gotten a look at any refurbed room. Would love to move over to one to me though! Wishful thinking.

WL Good stuff: OFC club is wonderful, staff is friendly, very clean hotel. Rooms definitely need a refurb but it isn't too bad. DS loves the waterside. He is five. I can't get him out of the pool at night. Very quiet on the villa side.

WL disappointments:
My only real room request was a king bed. I told them specifically my son only likes to sleep between us on trips. We got bunk bed room. The queen bed is too flipping small and none of us are sleeping even when DS isn't between us. The second day here the maids left the bunk rails unlocked. If my husband hadn't discovered it it could've been a trip to the hospital...or worse. So either my DS is crammed between us or i am up worrying if the the rails are locked. Next time I am going to lie and say we are a party of two to get my king size bed.
We got two bathrobes since we are on the CL floor, and after emailing IPO to request one for my ds, they said to call when I check in. I called. They said they have none. Kinda woulda thought Disney would have kids robes. Four Seasons Maui did. Not exactly teaming with kids there.

Park: not too crowded these past weekdays. Epcot was a waste though. With TT closed, Soarin is main attraction ride my DS is tall enough for. Today it was broke half the morning and the mad rush for FPs when it opened was ridiculous. More like wrestlemania than Disney.

First half of vacation complete....we will see how life at HS is tomorrow. Hopefully I will get a little sleep tonight but i doubt it. I AM SORELY MISSING MY KING SIZED BED!!!

I'm glad you're enjoying the OFC . I'm sorry about the king room, but since it's an occupancy issue, more than 2 people aren't allowed .....hopefully the bunk bed room works ok for you. I hope the rest of your trip goes well .

We are being assigned a newly renovated room within an hour.... Pictures coming soon.

Everyone here on the 7th floor has been wonderful!!!!

Now did you really think Mousemommy1 was gonna stay away from the Poly? .

If you get a chance to take a shot that shows the whole room, too, that would be fantastic. )

I am a little confused... To me that looks like a white sheet with just a throw blanket at the bottom of the bed. What part are you all saying is the duvet?

okay, in no certain order, just as I remember as I am typing....


the ceiling are different - they got rid of the "popcorn"

the red backing on the bunk beds will also be on the queen/king beds but they are not here yet

New Thumper pillow on beds

white duvets and bed shawl on bottom of bed (not sure what to call it)

new curtains on door

new H20 - this one is a grapefruit base and bottles much smaller now

new rain shower head

fan goes on automatically when you walk into the bathroom

new feather pillows

chairs at table feel wonderful with the new fabric

new carpert, new laminate

tile in bathrooom looks like wood to match pattern on floor

new frame around the mirror on door to bathroom - marble/granite is the same they did not replace that - I also think the frame around the mirror MIGHT be new (??) can't remember what the old one was like.

new locks and framing on doors (still need to be adjusted - need to pull it hard to hear it click to make sure it is locked)

LOVE LOVE LOVE my room and Randy and Andrew.....

The duvet cover is really a white comforter in between two white sheets.

I have sent WDWkook a picture of it turned down so you can see it up close.

Just barging into this thread to say how ADORABLE those new shower tiles are!!!! So sweet to take a shower with the critters.... Seriously, they better get ready to sell those in the gift shop because it would be hot, hot, hot. Also happy to see the duvet that helps brighten the room. Looking forward to seeing the pics taken with the regular camera too.

Wow, the rooms look great! Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to get the pictures posted.

My vacation is now less than 270 days away. Ten days less than a full term pregnancy. So the first few months will go very quickly, things will slow down a bit in the middle, and by the end, I'll be thinking this vacation baby will never come.
