That's great to hear! You'll have to update your signatureJust returned late Wednesday night from my first ever stay at the WL...It was INCREDIBLE!! I loved everything about this place!!!![]()
That's great to hear! You'll have to update your signature. Did you notice the crane out front?
You're welcome
FAVOR! I need a FAVOR! There are no WL Deluxe Rooms photos that I've ever found. Would you be willing to take some of the room/parlor//bathroom area and balconies so that I could post some to the first page or a link to them?
It's funny that you have the same split we were supposed to have in July/August. We were supposed to be at the WL/CL for 5 days and then move over to the Poly/CL for 8, but after just one day, DH and I agreed (this was before we were moved to the Presidential Suite) that we loved WL/CL so much that we didn't want to leave. Mike was able to extend us and cancel our Poly stay. Now I wonder if I'll ever make it over to Poly/CL
. I'd love to read your comparison/contrast of OFC Vs. KK
Are you going to post a mini TR?

I have done some food reviews over on the restaurant thread and thought I would share the one located in WL.

We were going to try Whispering Canyon when we stay at Ft Wilderness. What was wrong with Whispering Canyon? It appears you had some issues there.
So DH still doesn't know? I notice you changed your ticker - nice! Your DH is going to love the OFC! My DH still announces at 8 that "it's cobbler time." That makes me sadAs we were pulling into the bus stop from Downtown Disney, you could see the top of a crane which appeared to be behind the lodge itself. We never got off the bus, we were headed back to GF. Wish I had more info, sorryMade me curious, I was careful not to point it out to DH....he still thinks we are staying at POR. In 62 days, I will be at WL

Great! Thanks! We almost did the same thing, except we were going to just stay the Poly the whole time.We did Poly CL last year, and it was incredible. Watching the fireworks from the lounge while enjoying desserts and cordials was priceless. We're hoping we love WL just as much!
I'll definitely take some shots of the room. I'm a picture fiend!! I'll also be sure to post a little compare and contrast when we get home.
Sure! I only have the one HS photo with the bed on the first page. It would be nice to also have one of the jacuzzi. We will be staying in the Honeymoon suite in a couple of weeks, would you like pictures of that as well?
Thank you for the nice comment. I've only stayed at the WL so hopefully someone else can help you with your VWL questionGreat thread.
I am making my first trip to VWL in January and will be staying in a 2 bedroom villa.
First, I asked for a higher floor but I have seen some pictures (I am not sure if they are from WL or VWL) that appear to be on the top floor and show some balconies with solid walls. I think I would like to avoid that. Anyone know anything about these?
Any suggestions on good VWL room location requests?
Also, how long is the walk to Fort Wilderness? Is it nice?
Thanks.
Thank you for posting the link to your great phood photos and reviews. Your wife eating that breakfast proves her never-ending commitment to your photography - quite admirableI have done some food reviews over on the restaurant thread and thought I would share the one located in WL.

I don't see why that wouldn't be possible.Thank you for the wonderful dining reviews! I'll be staying at VWL for 6 nights in Nov - haven't stayed there for years and am really looking forward to it. I do have a question, can you just go to Whispering Canyon and order a dessert to go from the host?![]()
That is a great upgrade and what a great friend! Have a wonderful trip to the Lodge.I will be staying at Wilderness Lodge in a few weeks! I was planning on staying at Pop Century for my birthday trip, but my friend surprised me with an upgrade! SWEET!!!
Everyone should try it. While the service can vary from very enthusiastic to not-so-much, it's worth the risk. It's a lot of fun and as long as you're not shy about asking for more food, you'll get a great meal and plenty of it if you order the skillet breakfast or dinner. As you can see from GoofyontheHighSeas's photos, the non-skillet meals are also plentiful and tasty. Again, WCC isn't a 5-star restaurant, but it's fun and a good value, IMHO. DH loves all the BBQ meats at dinner and the gravy at breakfast. We were going to try Whispering Canyon when we stay at Ft Wilderness.
I know some people are concerned about the STD View, so thank you for reporting that even though you had a STD View, you still loved it and thought it was perfect.Just stayed at WL on August 12th 2011 with my momma (mother daughter portion of our trip) and it was AMAZING!!! We were on the sixth floor with a service area view but it was amazing none the less!!! Our first time staying at a deluxe resort and we will be back! It was so beautiful and relaxing. everything was perfect!!!

I might have to borrow(jk) your great ticker next year since it will be our 25th, too. Did you make them yourself?
I will take a variety of pictures for you.
Help yourself to any of the logos. Yes I worked them up myself, I started doing it as a daily count down to our cruise last year. Just follow the link to my page.
