So ready!! We scheduled AK for our park day while at WL so we would have a good portion of the evening to enjoy the resort. The kids are so excited to hang out at the pool, and I'm just ready to be at Disney. :)

Are you packed yet? Have great vacation!

Thanks! Partially packed, need to finish up before Friday cause I'll be traveling out of state all weekend (rather crazy before a big trip I know, but it's my DF's birthday). I'm just so excited. I had one of those moments at work today where I just kind of squealed because I realized one week from then I would be at the WL. :)

You're welcome and congratulations on your upcoming marriage at WDW! Are you actually having the ceremony at the WL? That is going to be such a wonderful memory for you. We'd love if you could post a photo sometime.

Best wishes to you:bride:

Thank you! We are not getting married at the WL location - it only fits about4 -6 people. We have 65 guests... We are doing our first look in the morning and some family photos there though, so I'm very excited about that. Most people do those shots at GF, but that's just not our kind of place. I'll try to post when I get some photos back.:cutie:

I am so excited we're down to 10 more days and then we'll be leaving for the Lodge!! Can't wait to surprise my daughter its going to be a great weekend. :yay:

It won't be long now until you're there:hyper:

She will be so surprised when she pulls-up to the WL. Make sure you have the camera ready;)

I surprised my Mom once with WL. She thought we were going to stay with friends at a off-site time share. Unfortunately she knew we were going to Epcot that day and got suspicious when I passed the Epcot exit. She was in total shock when I pulled up to the MK Parking booth and said we had reservations at WL.

Next time I would take the road by Port Orleans and Ft W. That way she would not know til we pulled into WL.

Now she is even more hooked than I am! We were going to stay at AKL in December. She made it clear that we could not stay there because there is no Boat! :rotfl:

That is one of the reasons that I love the WL location, the boat. Its such a cool way to get to MK and nice and peaceful in the morning. Last year we saw a bit of Hallowishes on the boat back to Ft. Wilderness, but this year we'll get to see it in MK. :woohoo: :cheer2:

Are all of the boats that run between the WL and MK/CR enclosed? We are considering staying at the WL this December and the boats are a big draw, but I won't bother with the boats if we are going to freeze to death!

You already know your mom and I think alike!! She understands about those boats!!:thumbsup2

How's the Princess?princess:

On the MK route there is usually one that is enclosed and on that is not, you can always wait a bit for the enclosed boat. The one to the CR is always not enclosed. Hope that helps. ;)

Yeah, but you are one of the original resort hoppers, I don't think I'll ever get Mom to stay at another report. :lmao: Not that I'm complaining since I love the lodge too.

She is doing wonderfully. Sitting up by herself, very close to crawling... I'm going to have to lower the crib because she is starting to pull herself up. :rotfl:

Thanks Brian!

So another question for all you WL fans-- my mom and I are trying to decide between staying at the WL and BWI for our upcoming trip this December! I am very attracted to the incredible decorations at the WL, but we prefer the location and cozy room decor at the BWI. The price difference is minimal, so it really just comes down to the WL Christmas atmosphere vs location/nicer rooms at the BWI. What's a girl to do?!

Awww...so sweet!! Don't they grow and change so quickly?! I bet she is adorable. Do email a new pic when you have time? :goodvibes

:rotfl: About the resort changer... between you and I, in all honesty, I usually only change in my mind, but once a reservation is made then only if a great code comes out and I can upgrade the resort or view. Don't tell the other official RC'ers though.;)

DD would very much like to stay at WL when we take DGD next year, but two rooms could be budget breaker as I'd want them to have a nice view. Nevertheless, have not given up hope on a WL stay. :thumbsup2

Not long until your December visit!

When we stayed in December, back in 2007, the temps were in the mid 80's. I was sweating not freezing lol.

Lower? You might need to build a wall soon to keep her in! Glad to read she's doing well.

Thanks Brian!

I love a good split stay and a MK/Epcot resort seems like a great way to do it:thumbsup2

A split stay would have been great, but we are only there for 4 nights.. seems like sort of a hassle to just do two at each! So it's going to have to be either the WL or BWI! We're considering the GF too, but the price leap is pretty significant. :scared1:

Thoughts?

Hold on to your reservations everybody! The MOTHER of the now queen of resort changes is in the building. (pas130 abdicated the resort changing throne to her DD who's only 7 - you gotta get 'em started early;))
