2 pails for the kids and chocolate covered strawberries for the adults sounds perfect!!! Do you know what the room service fee is? Thanks!!!

I am thinking the same perhaps!

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

$3.00 delivery charge, 18% service charge, plus sales tax. And, thanks to TheLodgeLady;), I can attest to the fact that the strawberries are delicious. I highly recommend them.

SO just a reminder - Pete on the DISUnplugged podcast is always saying that the 18% service charge is the tip and you should not feel obligated to add extra tip for room service. Do you agree? I never knew that until I started listening to the podcast but it certainly makes sense.

Yes, he is correct. We usually don't add anything extra unless we place a large order or the persona delivering the food does an exceptional job!

As TheLodgeLady posted, they are available from Private Dining. I have the hyperlink to the PD menu at the end of the DINING section of the thread. I thought they were $45, but TheLodgeLady was correct, they are only $15 (plus the room service fee). I apologize for posting that I thought they were $45 - $15 seemed too cheap to be true:laughing:

I think my first post or the answer got lost in the sea of pool posts.

Does anyone know if you can order ahead or does it have to be after check in since you call dining from the in room phone?

You would have to call the Private Dining line at the Lodge. I thought I had the number as I ordered a cake before but can't find it. Sorry. I will keep looking though.

Maybe someone else can check when they are there to try and get the number for you.

I know if you are staying CL you can call the IPO.

I agree if you can get something cute like this delivered to your room for $15 it's a good deal : )

Has anyone tried this at Territory Lounge??

Oregon Pinot Grigio Fondue - artisan breads and fruits of the season $11.00

:)

Those snack pails are seriously adorable! If anyone finds out if you can order them in advance, please let me know. I would definitely order one for our kids. :)

OK.

I took a chance and called the Wilderness Lodge Cake Hotline. I asked the cast member if this is where we can call to order the pails.

She said YES!!

She said that you can either order when you get there or pre-order. They only take a little while to prepare. She said that the guest does not need to be in the room for them to deliver and set them up unlike if you had any alcohol which needs an adult's signature.

I am not sure how it will work with having the pails in the room before check in as you will not know your room number. I forgot to ask her that question sorry.

Here is the #407-824-2090.

Hope you all create magic!!!!:wizard:

What kind of goodies are in the pail. I am afraid that it would be too young for my 12 year old but would love to have a surprise in the room when my kids get there.

Is it me or am I seriously missing something here. The size of the "quiet" pool near the villas is like one third the size of the main pool. While WL is not the biggest resort I can not see how a pool that small is going to work for this resort even at a lower crowd level. If there were several of these around the resort it would work maybe but the pictures are making me crazy. Also I still do not believe that an organization this big would have no idea of specific dates for work to be done. Even the contractors I have had working on my house had a time frame earliest and latest. This way people could make an informed decision on whether they still wanted to stay at a resort where construction and rehabs would be going on. By the time they officially come out with the dates it will be too late to switch. Thanks for letting me vent. Have to reconsider now if I want to stay here and it does not help not knowing what the time frame is. Thanks everyone!!!

The cheese is quiet tasty, but it used to have a better variety of breads and fruits like apricots. It's not bad, but it wasn't a huge hit with me.

Thank you for posting this information for everyone who asked! I'll see if I can get more details on exactly what's in it next week, if someone doesn't sooner.

I'm so in love with truffles, and excited to see the Territory Lounge has truffle fries. Can't wait to try them. Who has had them? Are they great?

Exactly! There is NO WAY a time frame is not on the books. A company the size of Disney isn't just going to have a "fly by the seat of your pants" approach. While construction dates can vary from what was originally intended - there is ALWAYS a projected start and end daTE to every job. We have to provide these details to customers every day as we are scheduling work.
