Well we have moved our reservations to Animal Kingdom Lodge. The main pool and slide are a big part of our vacation and I didn't want disappointed little kiddos. Good luck and hopefully the pool will remain open until after the warm season. Wilderness Lodge, we will see you in 2016!

I was thinking of switching to AKL also but I might be safe if it's after August! What are your dates TLMcMarks?

September 1-7. You might be safe if
Y'all go in august. There were still FD packages available and we saved about $550 on the switch!

Ok I can't resist. I think all of these photos are great. Here are our aforementioned WL buddies. https://flic.kr/p/nYqnAZ Koda https://flic.kr/p/nYjx1b Humphrey

Koda's adorable...is he still available in the gift shop? What about the cute puppet someone posted a pic of? Any other WL plush? I am thinking of contacting IPO and have something sent to the room?

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

I received a email from the guest address WDWKOOK mentioned. The email was a letter of receipt of my email. They stated they can take up to 11 days to get the information I requested. Funny that will put me in the under 60 day mark. My daughter and granddaughter are so very upset, I haven't even told my son and his family.:sad2:

My dates are Aug. 18-27 & didn't make the FD plan! I was lucky to get a PIN Code! Hoping things work out in my favor!

So, not only do we likely have the pool closure occurring for dates uncertain, we also have a monorail schedule change that will impact travel to EPCOT and (although not as much) MK with no end date mentioned?

It's almost like Disney is trying to tell folks to stay away from the MK resorts. Perplexing...

Thanks for the reminder on being able to do this. I just wrote to them myself regarding our August 20th through the 29th vacation; along with concerns over a possible main pool closure.

Should I receive a response, I'll post it here as well.

I just wrote as well and my dates are close to yours. It will be interesting to see if we receive similar responses. I called WL directly yesterday and was told 'No ma'am, there is no rehab or closure scheduled for your dates or any. Only room refurbs which are taking place right now'. So go figure..:confused3

As of now I have received the '11 day response' email :sad2:

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

One week till we drop anchor at the YC:)

Some monorail news:

Beginning 6/22/14: The monorail will have a different operating schedule than normal as an automation upgrade takes place. An automated monorail will allow for faster switching times, more frequent dispatching of trains, and accurate arrival information. Additional buses and watercraft will be available during this time. This schedule will be in place for a few months, but no specific end date has been set. The schedule will be:

Epcot - 9:00am-11:00pm

Resort monorail - 9:30am-11:30pm

Express monorail - 8:30am-midnight.
Outside of these hours, alternate watercraft and bus transportation is available.

I may have missed it but where can I order the pails from?
As TheLodgeLady posted, they are available from Private Dining. I have the hyperlink to the PD menu at the end of the DINING section of the thread. I thought they were $45, but TheLodgeLady was correct, they are only $15 (plus the room service fee). I apologize for posting that I thought they were $45 - $15 seemed too cheap to be true:laughing:

$3.00 delivery charge, 18% service charge, plus sales tax. And, thanks to TheLodgeLady;), I can attest to the fact that the strawberries are delicious. I highly recommend them.

Does anyone have the email address for the GM of WL? I want to try to get some answers. We are so looking forward to our trip, this was supposed to be our relaxing trip to WDW. Our kids are old enough 18 & 14, they were looking forward to running on there own some. My wife and I were looking forward to a few of our 8 days of drinks by the pool. Thanks

It's probably on page 1, check there. I'm positive the WL direct phone number is there as well.

KOOK,

DH has a request!:rotfl:

DH actually asked me, "Hey do you think KOOK could take pics of WL specific men's shirts while she is there." Me, "She has quite the list. I'll put in the request!"

We always get excited when you go back!:dance3:
