Pulled pork sandwiches and bacon wrapped scallops in club lounge. There is a very nice summer salad and a tomato caprese salad. The coleslaw is excellent. And btw, the cobbler last night was berry peach.

OK, here's an idea - Someone said the paperwork that Kook posted had the name of the pool company that would be doing the work. What if someone local called them and asked when the rehab on the WL pool is set to begin? Should be public information. Just a thought.

Saw this announcement and wondered what everyone thinks...

Guests at Port Orleans Resorts may skip check-in

According to the Port Orleans News and Rumors site, the resorts will be testing a new option for guests checking in between June 16 and June 28. The test will allow guests to completely skip the front desk and go straight to their room instead. Before their arrival, guests will receive a text message or email letting them know the room assignment and they can then use their MagicBands to unlock the hotel room door. For guests to be eligible for the test, they must be using My Disney Experience and have their profile completed, as well as have received their MagicBands in the mail, have done Online Check-In, set up an account PIN number and paid their balance in full. Once Online Check-In is complete, the MagicBands are active and can be used for park tickets, FastPasses, dining plan credits, etc.

This is not a mandatory test, so anyone who needs help upon check-in can just go to the front desk and check in like normal. Other resorts may be participating in the test as well. Because this is just a test, it will not necessarily continue into a full launch property-wide.

Hmmm we will be at WL this week 6/12 - 6/17 then over to POFQ 6/17-6/19
Have not received any email and have done online check in. I would not mind trying this out. Not sure how it works whether we would just use magic band we received for WL or one we received for POFQ or another set we received as AP. We have magic bands coming out of our ears!

Please know that when you are "calling the Wilderness Lodge" you are in fact calling an offsite call center. In most cases these are the last folks to know much. Not to put them down in anyway….they do the best they can but they are not, in fact, at the resort at all. They are reading script and if Disney is choosing to not publicize the closure yet then these folks will have no idea what you are asking and will tell you that no closure is on the books. As much as we all want to believe that the pool will be open for our much deserved vacations I ask that you be patient and let the hard working folks on these boards do their detective work. They are going to find out long before the call center confirms anything. If we had waited for the call center to confirm anything about the Polynesian we would be lucky to know that construction had even started at the Poly

So yeah I talked to someone in the actual resort in the back office. He gave me his name and told me that during none of my previous calls did i actually speak to the resort until now...

All your magic bands should work for all your resorts. And your annual pass will open your resort room, too. They are all connected to your MDE account, not to a specific band or room.

OK, really confused right now...heading to WL in 2 weeks (CY view) and just saw courtyard pics posted today.

Made many phone calls to WDW and no one seems to know what's going on at the pool area? Finally talked to someone that confirmed there is work at the river right now and it WILL eventually transition into the pool, but no dates are confirmed???? Why does no one KNOW about this and how do I get in touch with someone that does know? So bummed...gave up YC reservations for WL because we loved the theming. This certainly puts a damper on the theming

This is very frustrating....they are talking to us like we are nutso, denying anything is going on near the pool. They told us the DIS is not an official site, so it has no validity in their minds.... I just want to know if the pool we be "open" in 2 weeks...UUGGGGGH.

I did not get exact dates but he said August, I was also told they would be working on the pool for sure and since Kook isn't on yet, his last bit of information was that it would be completed more than a month before we arrived, which is November 16th.

Our dates are 9/1/14 to 9/7/14 too. I want to switch because my kids will not be happy if the main pool is closed. My husband wants to keep the reservation and even says that he will not go if he can't stay at the WL--not sure what we are going to do!

We are keeping our reservations here. And crossing fingers and toes that "after Labor Day" doesn't mean the day after and it's a couple of weeks later.
