Just booked our first WL stay for 12-16 Sep in a 1 bedroom in the villas. Doing a split stay with BWV. It's an anniversary trip (lucky number 7) and my big 4-oh so going deluxe for the first time. My bank account is already scared I may never go back ; )

We just booked our 1st WL stay, Sept 21-28. We have a woods view booked. Any room suggestions? Thsnks

Congratulations to all who have booked trips recently!

If anyone has any extra pixie dust, throw it my way! We had to change our dates last month and WL rooms were unavailable for our new dates. I've been calling daily hoping a room would open without any luck. Of course, we will be happy in our current resort booking, but would love to experience WL! We have 30 days left before we arrive!

We have changed our dates! We are going Nov 15th through the 21st now, thank you free dining! Can you change the dates for PrincessHeather92 as well? That's my niece :)

Hi! We are thinking about booking WL for our September trip. We are currently booked at POFQ but the boat to MK and a balcony both sound fantastic! We were also hoping that the upgrade to deluxe would allow us to get a king bed since my 3 year old usually ends up with us in hotels. Is it possible to get the king bed with 3 in the room at WL?? Thanks!

I thought it was allowed as long as the 3rd is under 3 in a pack n play...?

It is but he actually just turned 3 so we are out of luck there. I didn't realize that was the rule until trying to book the king room at FQ. I know some of the deluxes allow it but am not sure if WL is one of them. It's hard to tell without it being a bookable category!

A high floor in the north wing will give you the best chance of seeing the fireworks from MK. We like that view. :)

You won't get a king bed with three people in the room. Even though your son is only three, he still counts as a person who needs to have a bed and they don't provide roll away beds. The rooms are too small for them.

Hi everyone! Longtime lurker on this thread but first time poster. :goodvibes My boyfriend and I stated at WL last year for the first time and fell in love - I don't know if we could stay anywhere else! We are heading back this fall - October 26 - November 2. We had originally booked a standard view room but with the free dining promotion, we were able to score a courtyard view! Super excited about that. :)

So it's now official... DH's new supervisor changed our dates for our trip... and fortunately I've been able to move ADR's around... (even with the FD promotion!)

So can you change me from checking in 08/15 to 08/23 to checking in 09/12 through 09/20! Still staying CL, still at WL!!! THANK GOODNESS!!!:thumbsup2

The benefit is I'm still going to DISNEY!!!:cool1:

Hi guys! I have been checking in briefly, but mostly spending my time reading about FP+ since that is my next big decision. I was also spending a lot of time researching shoes and can now put that aside after buying a very comfy pair of Keens. :)
My question for today is this: what are your feelings, pro and con, about purchasing Disney's Photo Pass/Memory Maker? I just spent a lot of money on a birthday gift for myself- my first digital SLR! I am very hesitant to spend more on MM, just so that I can be in some of our pictures! What do you guys think? Happy Planning!

I too have a fancy DSLR a Nikon D7000 and I bought the Memory Maker. The pictures together and the magic shots were worth it to us. In 11 days we had 300 photos taken. This included Photopass Photographers, Ride photos, and even a photobooth in the SpaceMountain Dump shop (make sure to get a PP card from one of the photographers! It only scans that in the booth, and when you decide not to buy and print at that time, they will show up on the card and will be included in your Memory Maker downloads)

I loved it, and we are going back next weekend for a 'See You Real Soon' trip for my husband leaving for Afghanistan and will only be there two days, I got it again. For the price of purchasing the CD or the digital downloads of rides, we will still get our money's worth.

In addition to the regular photos taken, you can add up to 4 boarders/stickers and create even more downloads! I have only gone through our Magic Kingdom photos and had fun editing, and I am at over 350 photos! I don't even know what my final number will be, it actually scares me haha.

Hope this helps!

We bought the Disney photo plan last year right after buying our new Canon 6D SLR. It felt funny, but they serve different purposes. Besides knowing that we would all be in the pictures, it was nice to know that we wouldn't have to hand our nice new camera to someone if we didn't want to. Plus, the camera got to be in some of the pictures. ;) We are buying Memory Maker this year, largely for the pictures we'll get at BBB.

I have been thinking about this as well. In 2010 we tried the Photopass whatever it was called then; we prepaid that as there was a special. In 2012 we didn't.

Although I haven't reached my final decision. right now I'm leaning towards not. We are not doing any character meals, though. If you are that would add value. And my kids are past the age of meet-and-greets. I have 3 cameras (4 if you count my iPhone). I haven't decided which I'm taking, but my understanding is that you can go up to any Photopass photographer (or most CMs really) and they are happy to take the photo with your own camera. So that leaves attraction photos for us. I believe that there is an attractions+ option that you can only get at the parks. It's less that $50, so I think that's the way we're going to go. http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/photopass.htm#attractions

The only photo that we got included in our Memory Maker from our Lilo and Stitch breakfast at 'Ohana was the one when we checked in, all of the characters were on there own and no photographer with them. We used our own camera with it, and it's individual pictures, DH and I were not together in any of them. Unless this is different from other character meals, we really didn't benefit from it with having the MM. We definitely used it in all of the parks and rides though! And no, I wouldn't trust anyone to use my camera. Except for the one in Epcot who asked to use it, since he had never had the opportunity to shoot the model Nikon I had. So I obliged.

But like any product, you will have people who love it, hate it, or tolerate it :)

I'm new here, but jumping in on the posting! I love the memory maker because I'd otherwise not be in the pictures! I have a nice camera and my iPhone, but I'm the one who is always snapping away. My DH is sort of "photo challenged". He can't fill a frame to save his life. So I really love to have those great family shots. Yes, it's pricey, but these are my souvenirs. I love adding the mm pics to the photo books when I make ones of our trip. I find that there's a good mix of the stock photos, too, that really enhance my books (like generic ones of Mickey, the parades, etc).
