We arrived Wednesday morning at WL/CL. We have been having a fabulous, but busy week. Thank you to all who are answering questions:thumbsup2

Have a great time at the Lodge! Are you doing any kind of trip report? Would love to follow along! WL is on my bucket list if I can ever tear myself away from the Epcot area resorts!
I may do a post-TR like I've done in the past, but those focus on the resort, so this time it would be WL/CL. If I do one, I'll post a link here. So far I've just posted some CR and WL-related photos since we haven't been over to BWI yet. I will post BWI-related photos here though when I have some.

Anyone have the August entertainment schedule yet? (movies and such)

I have a link in Post #1 to the resort activity calendar, however, they haven't updated to August yet and I only have the WL calendar in my room now.

Sandi: I hope you have a great trip!

We are staying CL at the BWI for the first time in a few weeks so I will report back :) We LOVE the BW!! It's our "home" DVC resort but we have never stayed on the Inn side. Very excited!!

That will be great! We fell in love with BWI last March, returned in Nov last year and just switched when the discounts came out yesterday from Poly to BWI.

As bad as I thought I wanted to try the Poly I am over the moon happy now with my change to BWI. :)

Can you add me to the bulletin... Oct 12-18 First trip to BWV and First F&W!

Thanks!

We're checking in tomorrow and I will report on our room after we're in. I'm hopeful we'll have a refrigerator. If we don't get one, they've said their store our cold stuff in the bell services refrigerator. I ended up just ordering one thing from Garden Grocer that needs refrigeration. I'll put my soda on ice and hope the room stays cool enough for my fruit.

Thanks! Hey when do you check out? Maybe we'll run into each other next week.

You will love the BW! We typically travel with my parents and have stayed at some other deluxes, including BLT TPV and they could not wait to get back to the BW. They nicely told us that the other resorts are great, but they don't want to stay anywhere but the BW ;)

We're here! Beautiful room and view on the fifth floor. Working fridge, too. Off to Epcot.

Thanks for the good wishes Kook!

Sandi Fantastic! Have a great trip!

Well, this planning thing has been somewhat stressfull :scared:
I think I finally have everything I really wanted as far as rooms go .;)

Nov. 30 1 night AKL-Kidani (rented points) This so I don't have to be up before dawn to make a decent flight. Also first stay at AKL.

Dec 1 - 4 3 nights BWV, 1BR pool view! (point rental) :cool1:
Also a first time stay for me. I love the BW/Epcot area and I am excited.

Dec 4 & 5 2 nights WL, courtyard view. :cloud9: This will be my 3rd stay there.

This solo trip is a :santa: christmas and birthday :cake: celebration! (Birthday is actually on Thanksgiving).

So I am enjoying reading this thread and look forward to my stay at the BW.

Trying to decide what request I want to make for our stay. Does anyone know how many CL rooms have a BW view and are they on both 3rd and 4th floors?

TIA :)

All of the club rooms are on the third floor except for the Deluxe club rooms which are also on the third. Those deluxe club rooms are also all guaranteed BW view. Otherwise I think about half of the regular rooms are BW view, but I don't know exactly.

Tara, we check out on the 10th. If you see a girl with long brown hair and Mickey graduation ears, that's my daughter. Say hey if you see us!

We check in the afternoon of the 8th so maybe we'll see you. We're in CL & one DS will have his 13th birthday pin on (he will probably sleep in it he will be so excited about it!) DS16 will have his head buried in the new iPhone he bought, it comes on Wednesday lol!!

How are you coping with the heat & humidity? I'm dreading it!

WDWKOOK, sorry to have to say this, but you're going to have to remove us from the guest list on page one.

Actually, it's not the end of the world. When the room-only discount rolled out this week, we found that BWI was not included for our dates. We're addicted to the Epcot Resort Loop, and the only resort with availability for our dates was YC. And with the discount, we were able to upgrade to a lagoon-view room at YC and get about $300 back. It was a no-brainer. We love BWI and we will without a doubt be back....it's our favorite resort, but on this trip, the numbers spoke loudly.

Mildly sad that we're not going to be at BWI, but don't cry for us, I think we'll live with a LV room at YC. :thumbsup2

I keep reading about the stairs leading from the third floor CL rooms up to the 4th floor where the InnKeepers Lounge is located. My question is .......Are the stairs the only way to get up there or can you take the elevator?

I plan on requesting the 4th floor but as we all know a request is just a request and due to my COPD issues I can not do stairs.

I've stayed at the BWI twice before once in a WV room overlooking the village green and once in a Std room over looking the front entrance both times on the 3rd floor so I am familiar with the elevators but not the location of the CL rooms in relation to the elevators.

I want to request a BW view on 4th floor, just concerned if I do end up on the 3rd floor.

We are staying at the boardwalk for the first time in November. We have a standard room reserved. Should I be making any requests for a type of room? Since I have never been I am not sure if just getting the standard room is a good idea or what? Should I be request a certain view or to be close to an area of the hotel? I know this is kind of cryptic but just wondering. Thanks for any help.

The Boardwalk Inn has a total of 57 Club Rooms (including the 14 Garden Suites on the 1st Floor)
There are 5 Deluxe Rooms on the 3rd Floor, all have a Boardwalk View
There are 5 Deluxe Rooms on the 4th Floor, all have a Boardwalk View
The Presidential (Steeplechase) & The VP (Sonora) Suites also have a Boardwalk View.
That only leaves 8 Regular Club Rooms that have a Boardwalk View (not many)

OK, there are 5 Deluxe Club Rooms on the 3rd & the 4th Floors.
The stairs are the quickest way from the 3rd floor to walk up to the lounge.
But, yes, you can opt to walk all the way down to the elevators to ride up & down, just be warned it is a long walk.
Get your 4th floor request in early for you best 50/50 chance of getting the 4th floor.
