My DW and I are both pretty athletic and decided to "race" one of the boats that was almost full. We walked from HS to the BW and just beat the boat by about 5 minutes (pushing a stroller). The stops are what slows the boat down.
I will say that my wife walked from HS to EPCOT and my DD and I took the boat (I was feeling lazy). She beat us by a good 20 minutes...again, the stops at the resorts take much longer than you'd expect.
The BoardWalk is photogenic and I'm good at copying and pastingAlso the two real queen beds in the regular room vs one queen and one queen sofa bed in the studio is something to take into consideration. Whether it is worth it or not is something only you can decide. Either way enjoy the BW!!!
Ps -- Great picture KOOK!! Happy new year everyone!
It's less than 1.25 miles from the turnstiles at Hollywood Studios to the International gateway at Epcot. My wife and I were able to walk it very leisurely, while pushing our two year old in a stroller, in less than 20 minutes.
The turnstiles at Hollywood Studios are also about .75 mi to the Luna Pool, so most would be able to walk that in under 18 minutes.
From the courtyard on the BoardWalk side of the resort to the International Gateway, you are looking at less than .40 miles, so most people would be able to walk that in less than 10 minutes.
Good information that I have posted to the first page HERE - thanks! My DW and I are both pretty athletic and decided to "race" one of the boats that was almost full. We walked from HS to the BW and just beat the boat by about 5 minutes (pushing a stroller). The stops are what slows the boat down.

So, is Luna Park open today?? We arrive in 11 days and I am really hoping the rehab starts 1/28 and not today!
I don't know firsthand, but someone over on the Beach Club thread just posted that they got a letter in the mail saying Stormalong Bay would be closed for a few weeks beginning 1/16, and they could use the Luna pool during that time. In order for that to work, I would guess Luna Park will be open until the end of the month ...

Sorry, hope I didn't add to the confusion!
Anyone heading to Boardwalk in the next few weeks... If you are staying in a Villa, could you please let me know if the master bedroom closet (the one that is in the bathroom) is big enough to house a pack in play?
Our littlest one is 2.5 and did horribly sleeping in our room over holiday travels. I'm hoping we can fashion a mini room for her.
toodycat said:Hi. We're thinking of booking BWV this summer, but a friend just told me that the pool may be closed for renovation. Does anyone have any details about this? Thanks!
Thanks. I guess my friend missed that our trip is in July.If you look back a couple posts, Luna Park pool will be closed 1-28 until 3-1.
