Is Guardians Running on 1 Elevator?

I’ve been watching the wait times over the last couple of weeks. They’re pretty bad, and LL disappears within about an hour of opening. Does anyone have recent 1st hand experience?

I was waiting for my MK VQ time outside of the Hyperion and I only saw one window open for a photo at the top. I don't know if the other elevators were working the rest of the weekend.

We were there on Saturday and they announced that only one of the three lifts was running. We waited close to a half hour with LL, so I can't imagine what it would have been standby. It probably didn't help that the park was a bit extra crowded with the anniversary celebrations.

They need to take the L and just close it for a month and get it all working

DCA needs to do something about crowds because Disneyland can handle lots of people, not DCA. And with Monsters going they need some live shows to soak up crowds

Man, they really do! The coming additions will be nice, but until then the park doesn't have the bandwidth. Of course, the additions - two Avengers attractions plus the immensely popular Coco, is only going to drive more people to the DCA side. Maybe they should, I don't know, use that empty 2,000 seat theater for something! Even a temporary show like Rogers: The Musical would help.

But yeah, from now until these two are open...its going to kind of suck at DCA

The WOC stage, used to have day shows and this could help and the Hyperion would also work well but for GOTG...after Lunar new years I wish they just took the ride down and get it fixed. Its the second most popular ride and needs better capacity

If not, they really should just close it for a proper refurb. The park has major capacity problems, though, which will only get worse when Monsters goes offline eventually.

Riding Guardians with LL is painfully slow if fewer than 3 elevators are operating.

If not, they really should just close it for a proper refurb. The park has major capacity problems, though, which will only get worse when Monsters goes offline eventually.

Riding Guardians with LL is painfully slow if fewer than 3 elevators are operating.

My understanding is they it was a multi-round fix. They finished round 2 but still had work to do.

I am 100% in favor of a refurb…after my trip in March. It’s the only ride my non Disney loving husband cares about. He is the unquestioning, non complaining, financial backing behind all my trips, and that man deserves some Guardians!

If we are pushing to after your trip in March. Then can we push it until May. There are 3 of going on trips to Disneyland in April. one week after the other. My trip being the latest.

I can definitely understand why locals and frequent visitors might prefer the whole ride to be shut down and fixed all at once. But as someone who lives far away and can’t go very often, I actually prefer it to stay open with only one elevator. At least we still have the option then of waiting in line if we want to ride it, unlike most of the rides which have to be all or nothing during refurbishment.

Ideally they would use Disney magic and nothing would ever break down.

Unless the entire attraction NEEDS to be shut down for some reason, rotating the elevators being down makes the most sense. Same for Soarin'. They have two screens, one can be down while the other is open and then they can switch. They did the for Mater's as well last year. Refurbed one side while the other was open. It really doesn't make sense to close the entire attraction unless needed.

Rides need to go down

I have normal tickets now and rather have things running then the crap GOTG was pulling last Saturday

I buy LL and if the ride wont let me get one at 11 AM my ticket and LL is less valuable

This ride needs to go down so it can work right, they pushed it off for a year...its time for it to go down the park also needs it. With monsters going away its better to have this working at 100% then with less because the lines will get even more insane and once again making LL just less of a value
