You were absolutely right - they were in the drawer under the stove. Don't know why I didn't think to look there. But they still aren't listed on the inventory, so it's hard to know that you should expect to be able to find them.

Want to share the fabulous view we had for 9 days:

We are planning a trip for next New Years and plan to do one 2B villa on points and a 1B on cash (ouch I know).

Member services can't give me prices more than 11 months out and the website only shows one rate for the villas in our time period but then states that the different view categories have different rates.

Does anyone have a feel for how the rack rates breakdown based on view for a cash booking?

Thanks!

You will only be able to book preferred-non BW view for cash through DVC. BW view (which is just preferred view) and standard view (by DVC terms) are not available for cash. So that should be the price you would have available to you through MS. The member discount will probably not be available for that time frame.

ok that's what I thought view wise, interesting though that Disney's website indicates differently. We are assuming no discount. Thanks!

The map at the front of the page showing views is all villas, is that correct?

What Disney Reservation Center calls standard view is the same as DVC preferred (non-BW) view - which is about 60% of the total villas.

The photo in Post #2 of BWV shows the three booking categories. Cash views would be the red lines. Green and blue are only available for points stays.

Perfect. Now we just need to figure out if we have better chances of the rooms being close if we do the points as garden/pool or bw view if we can get it. Either way I know it's only a request even though the ressies will be linked. I'd prefer BW view on the points room and across the hall-ish would be fine.

With either the BW or standard views, there will be the regular preferred rooms across the hall and nearby, so that won't be an issue. Enjoy!! We've spent NYE at BWV before and it was absolutely fantastic! Lots of people, but very fun!!

We have had that same view, It is considered a Boardwalk View room!

We have also had that view. Depending on which room, it can also be a preferred view. We were given a one bedroom that would have had that view, had the entire balcony not been blocked by a tree (yeah, they gave me a new room) and it was a Boardwalk View.
A couple of years prior we had an upper level studio with that same view, and it was a preferred view. It must have been one room over from where the 1 bedroom was they tried to give us.

This is our first time at BWI and so far, so good. We used online checkin and were greeting at the entrance by name with everything ready! I didn't get everything I wanted like King bed and close to elevator but did get the most important....a view! We're right over the Arcade near ESPN. I wanted water and boardwalk views and got both. But have 2 beds and there is only one other room further from the elevator than us! Why would a resort this long have only one elevator?? I was wondering if anyone knew of any stairs we could take to the boardwalk or lobby level from this end? It's an anniversary trip for us and we had a voicemail from Mickey and Minnie when we arrived. How sweet it was! The weather is comfortable, sunny but windy. Any suggestions from anyone having this room before will be appreciated. Thanks!

BCV lovers here! On the Dis because I'm so nervous for Sandy who is starting to roll in...

We will be there mid- November and then starting December 4th.

I just love the BCV, so pretty and walking to Epcot is the best. Yachtsman & Flying Fish so close is a huge perk. One of our favorite places for a cocktail or 2 is the Bellvue Room right next store.

I have been reading the thread but am getting confused! I am looking at a 3 night weekend Christmas trip in December. I have a lot of options but am not sure what kind of view I might get with each one. I would love a water view, but does that guarantee a fireworks view? Is there an option that guarantees that like at some of the other hotels? Oh, also, my mother is coming down from Mass to surprise my kids. She has a bad back sow e are trying to cut down on the long walks if that is possible. (I remember the one time I stayed here we had a super long walk down a hallway)

I was assuming standard view meant to the parking lot or other buildings, but reading through some posts I saw some people say their standard room faced Epcot. :confused3

Here are my options, any ideas what I might be looking at? :)

standard view
water view
club level (I want this but not sure if I want to pay for it for short trip)

Studio standard view
1 bedroom standard view

The prices for 3 nights range from $910 for the studio to $1334 for the club level.

Thank you for any advice!! I haven't stayed here in about 12 years!

I have a cash reservation for a standard view Boardwalk Villa Studio. I'm trying to figure out what location to request for a good view (hoping for a fireworks view). Looking at the picture in Post 2 - which rooms are the cash standard views for the villas?

Thanks!!!

If you are booking a cash stay through Disney Reservation Center, you will get what DVC calls the preferred view. That is pool/garden, not along the front drive.
