Hi,
I am thinking of going to WDW the second week of September. How are the crowds then?
Thanks,
Heather

They are medium in size. We still did rope drop in the mornings and were really able to get a lot done in Sept 08. Got to do Test Track 2 times back to back--all we had to do was unbuckle/buckle the seatbelt!

Compared to our typical June trip, it was very enjoyable from a crowd perspective. Sometimes the Free Dining offer keeps the restaurants busy that time of the year.

The only lightly tricky part is the fact that it is hurricane season. Track the weather closely and bring your rain gear in case something scoots on by the coast.

I'm sure others will chime in soon............

We were there last Sept 20-27 and it was wonderful!!! We pretty much walked on everything, and just did fast passes for the popular rides. Transportation was very efficient, but the restaurants were pretty busy because of free dining. we would go at this time again without hesitating!!!!

I went there from September 7-17 last year and it was great! It wasn't crowded. The average time we waited for the rides in all the parks were 5-10minutes or less. There's some ride where we waited half an hour (Tower of Terror and Star Tours).

The weather was great. Out of the 10 days, it rained twice but it didn't last the whole day. The weather was good as well.

BridgetBordeaux is right about September being hurricance season. A week before we were due to leave for Orlando, there was a couple of hurricane making its way to Florida and we were afraid that it was going to hit Orlando. Thank goodness that it didn't, but it's definitely something to consider. We had insurance though, so I know that if a hurricane did hit, we would have gotten most of our money back for the trip.

They also mentioned about the restaurants being busy because of the Disney Dining Plan and she's right. We made advanced reservations before we left for Orlando. There was a couple of times where we wanted to sit down in a restaurant for lunch instead of grabbing a quick bite, but the restaurants were fully booked. So I would highly recommend making advanced reservations.
