Hey all,
Providing an update for those of you intestested in the timeline if you don't use a standard re-seller and elect to go with an ebay contract or the like.
Our offer on a 50 point BWV contract was accepted on 3/24. At that point, we elected to use Timeshare Closing Services and they compiled the necessary inital documents and emailed them to us on 3/25. We faxed them back and reassigned a check that was being held in escrow on another contract that had been ROFR'd to the new contract.
Disney waived ROFR on 4/6.
Closing documents were sent to us on 5/5/06 and we returned them via next day air on 5/15/06.
Timeshare Closing Services closed the contract on 5/16/06.
Total time from intial offer to closing: 56 days.
Hope our experience helps others and we can't wait until our first trip home - even if it'll be under the hot July sun!
