morning! I tried posting here yesterday, but the DIS choose that moment to have a colossal slowdown so I had to give up. Must be too many bugs they are still trying to get rid of

I am off and hobbling today. It is to hell with it day for me! I am going to drive myself to my Dr appt. First time I have driven further than a few blocks since the surgery. My only other option was to ask a friend who's driving is so scary that it really makes more sense to just do it one footed myself (no Shug, I am not talking about you!)

Then I am going to get lunch and I am going to walk and just say screw it if it hurts. And then going to Costco with DH.

Oh, and the idea of a thread for the newbies was a great one! But it just can't be ON the Welcome Board. But you all could go to the Welcome Board and say Hi to new people and give them the link over to here and invite them to join us. Kayla and I could also put a mention of it and link in my siggy, how about that?

And sorry about the hobbling. I can totally relate! My heels are much improved right now, but during the bad times, I can barely walk. It hurts sooo much. Hope your heels are on the mend really soon. But at least you got out of the house!

I am so off in my bed time! Even though I usually stay up late, it has been later than usual and it's killing me. And tomorrow I am going to a wrestling thing and will be out all day!

Your mother and I have that in common. I am suspicious of leftovers more than 2 days old. If I bake cookies, I will not eat them after the following day. Two day old cookies are rubbish, IMO. I'm a freak that way!

Is anyone else as glad for Friday as I am? Wheeeew! I'm tired! I have not been getting much sleep because over winter break I got into some much later sleeping habits. It's gonna take a few days to return to a 10:00 bedtime again!

I am soooo doing the friday happy dance and I only had to work 3 days this week. I got used to waking up when it was light out over christmas and getting up when its still dark sucks.

I can't belive how cold it was this morning. I hate waking up in the cold and dark. I am so ready for winter to be over.

As a teenager, I recall one time when we had an entire high school wrestling team (from a school about 2 hours away) stay the night at our house! My cousin was on the team and he asked us. It was one crazy night! But when you are a teenager, having 20+ boys all in one place is a good time! The next morning, my mom made breakfast for ALL of them!!!

Merle: Planning on losing any bagels this weekend? Just so you know, the loss of an asiago bagel is punishable by wearing a sandwich board that states: "I am not worthy of the asiago bagel" and wearing it on a public street for one weekend.

Bon: I know the exterminator is coming for your bug problem this weekend. Don't forget to have him check under your mattress for those bed bugs, too.

The meet tomorrow is 45 minutes away and lasts almost 8 hours. We might leave and go to shopping between matches.

Hey, everyone! I am sooo glad it's Saturday. I slept in until 11:00! I never do that. It was nice though. Today I just want to stay home; I hope we do. Tomorrow is some celebration at the D.C. botanical gardens that DH wants to go to. We have never been there, so I don't know how much of it is outside. Hope it's not cold!

My DH does that too. And neither of us wants to take the initiative and plan anything. So then when we end up doing nothing, we can blame the other person.

Today I am gonna introduce DD14 to a CLASSIC: Ferris Bueller's Day Off. I have not seen that in years. It came on TV and I tivod it. So it will be fun to watch it again.
