I have a Ville de Lyon on the other side of the trellis from Lanuginosa Candida. It's growing like crazy but not blooming yet. I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR! :sunny:

Mary these are just lovely. Your fence must be beautiful, ablaze in bloom.

Mary, we don't think you went camera crazy with picture taking. We love seeing all your flowers. These clematis are delightful. Thanks again for sharing.

I had a choice between that and phlox. Let's just say the phlox rotted in the starting gate. Just beautiful! I'll be trying them next year.....:D

Countess of Lovelace, what a nice name for a very pretty vine. :) Makes you wonder again about the name Lavaglut for that beautiful rose..lol.

We love the pics Mary, keep them coming! :)

Thank you.

*Magicmouse2, really, your clematis have all wilted and died? :(

Magicmouse2: clematis can sometimes get a disease called "clematis wilt". It looks great one day and the next it is wilted. You can't really stop it once it starts. The only thing you can do is cut out all the wilted vines which sometimes leaves you with only a couple of bud-eyes. My Ville de Lyon did that 2 years ago. It's terrible when it happens but the plant seems to overcome it.

Great shots. I planted one last year and I thought it died... I now have to stems/vines growingand am very carful not to harm them. I only hope they look half as nice as those you are showing here. Thank you for sharing... :)
