How do they do it? If I understand correctly the parties are scheduled to start at 7 and the park closes at 6. How do they get everyone who isn't staying for the party to leave? What time do the rides stop running, stores close etc? How do they close down the rides? I couldn't imagine waiting in line and then being told the ride is done for the day.

After about a certain time near park closeing they stop letting people with out a special colerd band (it changes) into the line and than they just cycle thru the line like nothing changes in all it takes like a half hour to clear the park and bring in party guests.

as far as the stores are the same way and foodsevice after a preset time unless you have a band on you dont come in but its like right at close so you never miss time

I think they do ask guests with wristbands to hang out in Tomorrowland/Main Street from 6 to 7, so they can clear out the other lands.

Best bet is to get a PS in the park at around 5:30!!

Our PS is at 5:15, is that too early??? Did they have the rides open at tommorowland? And when and where do you exchange your tickets for wristbands?

You can either not eat and enjoy Tomorrowland rides while the park is closed and clearing out OR you can eat and then head to the party at the start time of 7:00p.

They exchange your tickets for wristbands usually as you enter the park but sometimes right in the restaurant you are eating in....it can change from year to year.

A 5:15p Ps is perfect to be done by the start of the party when every ride/area is opened up. If you finish your meal a bit early they will make you wait in front of the restaurant till 7:00p and then let you go where ever you want at 7:00p.

We finished eating at LTT around 6:45p and had to wait in front. We saw a photo booth right next to LTT and were the first in that line. They would not take our picture, though, until exactly 7:00p. Then we headed to Haunted Mansion and enjoyed the party!

Last year, there were several CMs in front of the castle in the plaza area exchanging tix for bands, starting at about 4pm or so.

So, tell me if I understand this correctly, because we are going to 2 times to the party. The first time we have a PS but the second time, we can stay in the park and not have to leave? Wherever they make you wait, are the rides open? That would be great news!

You won't have to leave either time. Both times you'll probably get a wristband.

After you eat, you wait out front of the restaurant till 7:00p.

The other night, they will let you enter after 4:00p and you can ride anything till 6:00p. Then they will usher you to either Fantasyland (I heard some waited there) or Tomorrowland. The rides will be going and you just show your wristband. Then at 7:00p you'll be free to roam around the whole park.

Last year we arrived around 4:30pm. There were signs directing us to the turnstiles on the right side of the entrance. As we entered, a cm put the wristbands on us. We rode awhile and then watched the 6:00pm fireworks from Fantasyland near Dumbo. We never watched them back there and it was different, they seem much closer. Then we walked over to Tomorrowland and rode Buzz & Space Mt, they did check for wristbands before getting on. I think Space Mt. closed for a few minutes while they cleared it out. Then at 7:00pm we headed back to Fantasyland to get our picture taken at Small World, no wait. All the rides back there were walk-on. We actually walked up the path to Haunted Mansion and stood in front of the door alone for about a minute before others came along.
