Cleaning window screens

we have casement windows so we have those dark colored, fabricky, inside window screens and I can never seem to get them clean. I have tried vacuuming them with a brush attachment, laying them flat and using and brush and soapy water and then rinse with hose, nothing seems to get all the dust off these screens.

Anyone have any tricks?

I take them out and use a brush with soapy water. I bought a toilet brush because I like the handle. Then I spray them with a hose and let them dry.
