Cleaning the shower floor?

Hi. I use Borax on mine. Its all natural and does not scratch the fiberglass. It is so shiny when i'm finished. It is also safe for HE washes to boost your detergents cleaning. Love it !:thumbsup2

Fiberglass? Maybe auto polish/cleaner/wax. I know that's what Jacuzzi recommends for cleaning their jetted tubs.

I find this discussion fascinating because when I had one of those fiberglass drop in tub/shower things I found it to be the easiest thing in the world to keep clean because it was so smooth nothing really stuck to it - there were no grooves for dirt to get caught in, like on the awful tile and grout I have in our house. I always just wiped it down with a soft sponge and some soft scrub and went on my way. I lived in that apartment for two years and it was the cleanest tub I ever had. I am dying to put one into my current bathroom.

Another vote for Comet, a good scrub brush, and elbow grease.

If you have hard water, you might try a dilution of Lime Away or something like that... I haven't looked into that at all, so YMMV.

We have really hard water and a textured shower floor. It gets dirty quick. The floor is the worst. I use a Bathroom Magic Clean and Method Daily Shower Spray. I don't know what is in that Shower Spray but it keeps the floor and door from getting dirty. I tried other brands and they don't work. I also use it to clean my tub since my kids are sensitive to most cleaners (they usually contain corn and they're allergic). The daily spray rinses clean and leaves no residue.

Thank you for all the great suggestions. I did the baking soda method and scrubbed away and am happy to report it is nice and smooth white again. I am going to try "The Works" next because all that scrubbing was the pits! I am also going to invest in one of those daily shower spray thingy's.
Thanks again!

The easiest and best method for removing soap scum is by using Easy Off Fume Free Max in the blue can. It's so incredibly easy and leaves your shower sparkling clean! Since it's a foam, you can spray it on the walls and it stays there. Just spray all over the walls and floor and then leave it on there for a couple of hours. Come back and and use a soft-bristle brush to get all of your soap scum away. No scrubbing involved. It doesn't take away the lime (unless it's embedded in the soap scum), so you may have to follow up with some Lime Away or KaBoom! It's safe for fiberglass showers and floors. I haven't used it on actual tile. It may eat at the grout.

After cleaning, you can lightly rub some car wax onto the walls (but not the floor!) which acts as a water repellant and prevents scum build-up. Be careful not to get wax on the shower floor because it will make the floor extremely slippery.
