So who’s getting a class ring? Does anyone but I think paying $300+ is stupid? Its not like I don't have the money to get one, but jeeze that money could go towards a Disney trip or Art supplies. So if you are getting a ring what kind, and what does it look like. :goodvibes

I got mine my junior year of high school. I think it cost around $250. Mine's very basic it just has the year written on it (one side says 20 and the other side says 06) and the name of my high school around the stone. It's 10k white gold and has a garnet (my birthstone, but everyone thinks I got the school color). I also had my name engraved on the inside of the ring too. I got the same style ring as my older sister.

If your school is getting the rings through Balfour, the style is called stardust..

I got my ring during sophomore year and it cost $350+. Mine is 10k yellow gold and has a blue (school color) gem in the shape of a rectangle and it's cut in the center making it sparkle more. I have music notes on one side with "2007" on the top and on the other side I have a mustang (mascot) with the words "Mustangs" on the top. Around the gem I have the words saying the name of my school and inside the ring may name is engraved.

We could have picked so many styles and colors along with pictures on the side, but I figured since it was a class ring, I may as well customize it to resemble my school and class. I mean, I can get any ring that looks all fancy, but I can't just up and get a class ring again.

I think $300+ is normal for a class ring considering everything is real on it.

The price wouldn't be worth it if you were never going to wear it again. I haven't taken mine off since I got it so the cost was fine with me.

Well...I have never gotten a class ring...I'm only a frosh in HS. :confused3 so...yea...lol

I got one junior year. and now, even though I'm in college, I still wear that ring almost every day. I definetly got my money's worth of it, and I love the ring.
If you think you will wear it all the time, then I would say go for it. It's a momento besides a yearbook that you will have for the rest of your life.

I'm getting mine this year (junior year), and it will have the school name on one side and the "crest" on the other. The stone is garnet, which is my school color and my birthstone! It's silver platinum, I think. I'm getting mine from Josten's. $300+ is kind of exspensive for a ring, but I think it's worth it!

Our rings (at our school) came from Jostens as well. They are an expensive company. heh. But I think it's worth it. ;)

Our school orders from Joostens to. I for one didn't get one. Basically because I got new ski bindings instead. But I pretty much hate my school and I'm moving 3000 miles away so I don't really need a remembrance.

If you're going to wear it every day, then its totally worth the money. But if you only do like twice a month 300 is kinda ridiculous. They are pretty cool though.

i dont have one on a counta i'm only an 8th grader but when i get mine, i want:

aquamarine stone(birthstone?)
volleyball and basketball on it
my graduating year
and anything else i'm involved in probally!

:goodvibes but i WILL wear mine everyday! :goodvibes

No, I decided against one...they are all so big...plus I have a promise ring that I got from my parents.

Well for my 8th grade graduation class i got a ring but when I got it it was to small. When the guy sized me he was in a rush and never really noticed that we would be growing. Now I use it as a pinky ring.

The woman who sized mine told me I would need a size larger than I put on the form. She didn't reazlie I wouldn't be growing anymore lol...the ring is too large for me to wear on my ring finger, so I wear it on my fore finger.

I would guess to just remember your middle school years. I see nothing wrong with that.

Oh and what ring size are you all? I'm a 6 according to the people at the jewelry store.

a six!?!?!?!?!? i have fat fingers! i wear like a 9! :sad2: :rolleyes1 lol.

I also got mine junior in high school. It was a little bit more "girl" than the classic. It had 20 on 1 side than 06 on the other. Right next to the 20 and the 06 was a small gem. it was very cute. Past tense, cuz i lost it. haha allwell.

I got mine sophomore year and I wear it almost every day.. I love it!.. It's Jostens as well.. it was 300+.. it's silver with a garnet(January Birth stone) stone.. it has my name and theater masks one one side and 2007 and music notes on the other and a cross underneath the stone. I have "No Day but Today" engraved on the inside of the ring... I am so happy with it, definitely worth the money in my book.

I always thought I had fat fingers, but I'm a size 6 :confused3
