When Clarabelle's Ice Cream still had the Red Car Trolley souvenir container, I know you could opt to have the sundae in a waffle bowl or upgrade to the souvenir container. When I went in May and they had the new Mickey Pants Kitchen Sink souvenir container, I didn't see any options (i.e., prices) for a non-souvenir container version of the sundae. As much as the sink is really cute, I'm not sure what I would do with two of them. I was wondering if folks know if you can still order the sundae without the souvenir container? I didn't think to ask last time I was there because I was focused on getting the Sink souvenir container. :rotfl:

When we left Clarabelle's the last time, the CM overheard me speaking with my wife about my plans for this sink - a candy dish on my desk at work. The CM stated that she had not heard that suggestion, but she did state that she had heard of people drilling a couple of small holes in the bottom of the sink , placing it an old pie tin and making a planter out of it. Sounded like a good idea to us! :thumbsup2

Thanks...it's an interesting idea (probably not my thing because plants and I don't get along very well). Did you happen to ask or overhear anything about getting the sundae without the souvenir container?

I checked out the Disneyland site under Dining and then Clarabelle's menu. It appears that you can get the regular sundaes without the souvenir container (which they list as a "sink")

Chocolate Chip Cookie Hot Fudge Sundae $6.29 w/ souvenir $11.99

Mint Sundae $5.99 w/ souvenir $11.99

Mocha Sundae $5.99 w/ souvenir $11.99

Strawberry Sundae $5.99 w/ souvenir $11.99

I saw that too, I just wasn't quite sure if it's accurate because the menu board at Clarabelle's didn't have anything listing a non-souvenir sundae price/option. I'm hopeful that the Disneyland.com menu is accurate, but I know that they aren't always.

I am sorry. I didn't realize that Disneyland.com isn't always accurate. I will be able to tell you because we are planning on Clarabelle's for DD birthday on 10/01.

You have been so helpful to me that I got excited when it appeared that I could help you back.

No worries! Usually Disneyland.com is pretty good, but occasionally some of the menus are out-of-date (I really wish they would put dates on their menus so we know the date when they were current).

Are you going to do any of the MHP parties while you're down there? There should be on on 10/3 (Friday) and they're a lot of fun.

When they got that new menu board the first time before the kitchen sink sundae, it also didn't list non-souvenir sundae prices/options. When I asked at the counter, the CM told me that they still served non-souvenir sundaes, but the menu board with the design and font that they had chosen wasn't big enough to show all the available options anymore. I figure they also wanted to push the more expensive options. Maybe it's still the same.

That makes sense to me. I got my Red Car Trolley early on when it was listed as an upgrade on the menu, so I must have not noticed the change in the menu later on. Sounds like getting a non-souvenir sundae is probably still possible, they just don't advertise/announce it. :rotfl:

We are arriving on 9/30 and I have purchased tickets for the MHP that night. Crazy, but, I went ahead and kept our Park Hoppers for that day also because knowing my DD, she will really want to hit the Parks earlier than 3pm.

Right now I just have the 2 ADR's and I think that is all I want to have for this short of a trip (9/30 - 10/2).

For MHP we are going to focus on the fireworks, treat or treating, and the parade.

This is a surprise trip for my DD.

The price of the kicthen sink is $11.99 with or without the ice cream.. my poor husband had to share with me.. I couldnt eat 3 scoops no matter how hard I tried..

and mine is now center stage on my desk at work full of M&M's.

I spoke to one of the CMs at Calarabelle's and got an answer for you :thumbsup2 The CM said that you can purchase a 2 scoop sundae for about $7 but if you wanted a 3 scoop sundae this would be in the pants sink for about $12.95. Not quite the same amount of scoops but hopefully this helps

Sorry, but I am perplexed...
Figment actually had a question....
The universe must be coming to an end!
(Just kidding, you are great!)

Do they still have the Red Trolley Car, too? I was looking for the Kitchen Sink sundae but I certainly don't mind getting a different souvenir on a different day.

Does anyone have pics of the red car trolley container? We got engaged on the 623 red car trolley last time we were there.

We got the pants sink and it currently our cat's water dish, he loves it!

I didn't see any at Clarabelle's when I was there in May (after the Mickey Kitchen Sink had debut). I did not ask if they had any, but they certainly were not featuring them anymore. My guess is that if they did have any it would be left over stock from before the Kitchen Sink and they are not re-ordering them.

The Trolley was cute.
