what is the mickey pants/kitchen sink container made of? is it hard plastic? is it easy to put 2 in a backpack and carry them around in the park? or will they break?

They are hard plastic but I wouldn't say the plastic is overly thick. There is a section in the underside where we stuffed napkins just to make sure, we got ours all the way to Australia in checked luggage so it should be fine.

They are hard plastic. I would wrap the faucet and taps in something to give them some protection and then put them in a gallon ziploc. They are kind of bulky so storing them in a locker might be easier.
