So long Claire......
I guess we wait and see what Ken's got in store for us! No point in getting one's knickers in a twist till we see what he's about!
I am sorry to see claire leave dvc. I felt she looked out for the members and tried to get us the best she could. I hope the new team continues that - it probably takes a lot of effort to go to bat to get discounts for the members. I was surprised at how much of a difference a new person in charge could make in a relatively short time. Hey - maybe we'll get a dvc paris out of this
It's just standard operating procedure. Disney tends to shuffle their upper-layer executives through several different segments of the company, so that they have a broader base of experience to work with going forward. Lateral moves---and even moves that appear to be steps down---are not uncommon. For example, Staggs and Rasulo *swapped* positions last year.

When I say "upper-level executives", I mean Associate VP, VP, unit President, or various Executive Officers (CFO, etc.) GM isn't quite in that layer of visibility---even for multiple resorts.
I think her being GM of OKW then also SSR has come and gone based on budget cuts. Several years ago many were given multiple jobs. For example the GM at the BW and BWV also oversees the college program.
It is possible that Sonya might now be relieved of her duty as GM of SSR and OKW.
