City mini or city mini gt?

Has anyone rented or does anyone own the city mini double or mini gt double? My 5 & 3 yr old will be sharing. My 5yr old son is 43" and 35lbs. Just wanted to make sure the mini won't be too small in length for him. Or if I should rent the mini gt. Any thoughts appreciated!

We just rented the city mini double and my daughter is 4 and 37 lbs/about 43 inches and fit fine in it. One thing to note though, we don't strap her in so if you are strapping that could change things.

thx! We don't strap either. Sounds like they're about the same size, so glad to hear that it should work

Just a note… I don't know if they have changed… but i own the regular city mini and its really hard to get into the storage compartment because of the bar at the base of the stroller (again the design could have changed since 2011). We usually rent the gt version because its a little bigger and you can actually use the storage compartment at the bottom of the stroller.

oh and my 5 yr old son who is also about 43 inches has no problems fitting into the city mini.
