DS is 4 1/2 and 44" tall, 48 lbs. We used our First Years Ignite for our previous trips to WDW but in January, we realized he had just gotten too tall for it. I am planning on getting him used to walking longer distances before we leave, but our family tends to walk 11-16 miles a day in the parks, even with midday breaks, and we will be there the first week of July, so I am looking at possibly renting one from a third party. Has anyone used a City Mini for a kid this size? Is the Bob an option?

The city mini gives you a seatback height of 19.5" with a total height from bottom to canopy of 23".

The city mini gt gives you a seatback height of 21" with a total head height of 26".

The GT also provides an adjustable handlebar.

I personally prefer the GT and the city elite but my child is quite tall so even at just under 2 her head hit the canopy in the city mini.

You will probably find plenty of folks on here that have used the mini with larger children and report no issues. Best of luck whatever you decide.

My 3.5 year old is 42" and he sort of hits the top of the non-GT city mini. I'm sure he could deal with it though if he was tired enough.

I'm more worried about his legs than his head, but those numbers are good to know. He just had to sit in a really awkward position in the Ignite because they have gotten so long. I did measure from his bottom to the top of his head and it's 24", so the City Mini will just be too small. I think I will see if I can have him sit in a GT or Elite at a baby store sometime soon and borrow/rent one. Thanks for the input. :)

Okay the gt has a measurement of seat to knee 10" and knee to footplate also 10".

The city mini is 10" seat to knee and 9" knee to footplate.

The elite is 9.5" for both those measurements. My daughter is all torso so the head measurements were more of a concern for us.

Both kingdom and orlando stroller rent both the GT and the elite. We chose the elite for at home and our rental partially because of the higher weight limit which is not in play here. I think you'd do well with almost any of them since they all have places for the kiddo to put his feet.

My daughter is 42 inches and almost 4. I had to decide what double stroller to buy to accommodate her and my soon-to-be newborn. Being that I was buying it, I want it to last for awhile. I ended up getting the City Mini Gt. It gives quite a bit more room for taller kids than the regular mini or the BOB. We have had a single BOB and, as much as I have loved it, she is outgrowing it in height. I think the max recommended height for the city mini and bob is 44 inches.

Thanks for those measurements! That helps me a lot.
