Have any of you ever eaten at Citricos? if so, how was the food? did they have any seafood? thank you! Helen

DH and I went in May 2005 and had a great meal. (Dropped the kids off at the Neverland Club! :cool1: ) Honestly, I don't remember at all what we had but I remember that we loved it. The atmosphere was very nice and there were very few kids there, and none of them were anything other than very well mannered. Mind you, I love kids, but this was our one night out without ours and it was a great place to go. :thumbsup2

We loved our meal at Citricos last year! It was a nice atmosphere, very few kids (we also had a later reservation time for this reason), and great food and service.

This menu looks pretty similar to what we had: http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/men_cit.htm though they had several chef's specials and new offerings that our waitress told us about verbally.

DH and I had the filet (YUM!!!) and my DMom had the salmon. All was delicious.

Went just the two of us last week, not impressed. We asked to sit at the bar for dirnks and apps first, so don't rush seating us, 2 min. later they were ready to seat us. Dinner was also a rush rush eperience, and it was just not that impressive. Tomato mozz. salad had so much vinegar my DH and I looked like we just ate a lemon and I love a good vinegarette. Entrees just so so, DH is what I jokingly call a "food snob" and I thought he would be impressed, not so. Atmosphere is nice but rather loud. So over all this food critic gives it a thumbs down. JMHO

Thank you all for your wonderful reviews! We are going to try Citritos Chef's table with our kids...I know, Crazy  but they are 13 and 19 so they are not little and can behave themselves.
Uncle R: We took your advice from a previouse thread and made reservations at Emeralds in Down Town Disney! it sounds really good. Thanks for the tips and man are you an awesome writer! I still think Disney should hire you! thanks again, Helen

Citricos is great, and is probably one of the least-known restaurants at the GF. It seems like everyone goes to 1900 PF, Narcoosees, and V&A. I've been to Citricos a few times and loved it.

Here's a little sample of their menu I found online...

New American Cuisine celebrating the flavors of Southern Europe, drawing inspiration from Provence, Tuscany and the Spanish Riviera.

Appetizers:
Sauteed Shrimp (with lemon, white wine, and feta cheese)
Aracini (crispy risotto with Italian sausage, fontina cheese and white truffle aioli)
Warm Goat Cheese Salad (arugula, frisee, Lardons, and marinated tomatos)

Entrees:
Crispy Baked Breast of Chicken (served with sun-dried tomato orzo pasta, wilted escarole, and a cabernet jus'le)
Sauteed Wild Ivory Salmon (served with roasted fennel, yukon gold potatoes, and black olive butter)
Citricos Filet Sicilian (Oak grilled filet of beef with wood roasted spanish onions, Quattro Formaggi crushed potatoes and veal glace')

Deserts:
Seasonal Berry Gratin with champagne-Grand Marnier.
Citricos Cinderellabration (Bittersweat chocolate mousse tart with orange sauce)
