Citricos or Narcoossee's

We stayed at the GF in december and loved it!! We did not dine at Citricos, but we did dine at Narcoosees and loved it!! You cannot beat the location and views of the Cinderella castle!!!

I've dined at both.

Citricos easy choice, the food is amazing.

The food at Narcoosees is nothing special, IMHO it's on par with Outback Steakhouse.

Have dined at both several times and the worst meal at Citricos is better than the best meal at Narcoosees.

I agree with the PP's.

Not only is Citricos better than Narcoossee's, it's simply an amazing experience. The food is outstanding, and the 3 times I've been, the service was personalized and special, even when I wasn't dining there for a celebratory occasion.

No, it doesn't have the view Narcoossee's does, but the food and service more than make up for it. I always just make my ADR for like 2 hours before the fireworks are scheduled. That way once I'm done, I can walk down to the dock to watch. :)

And if you're just "one" why not sit at the bar at Citrico's (which is the better restaurant) and have diner there? It's what we do every time we eat at Citrico's.

Have done both, my all time favorite Disney Restaurant is Citrico's. it!

Citrico's, definitely. Head and shoulders above Narcoossee's in quality. I consider Narcoossee's equivalent to one of those 'rotating restaurants' that primarily sells a view.

I have not yet dined at Citrico's, but have been to Narcoossee's twice - once long ago and once this past February. I have heard on these boards Narcoossee's likened to Red Lobster and I just do not see it. (Of course the last time I ate at Red Lobster was in 1986 and their quality could have improved since then.)

What I like about Narcoossee's:
- variety on the menu in all courses. I had the Artisanal Cheeses (Humboldt Fog, Cashel Irish Blue, and Tete De Moine), which blended very well into the Chef's Reccomendation Cajun-spiced Florida Tripletail (with Maytag grits, green beans, and a mango BBQ glaze) Had a lovely dessert which is not on the present menu but was chocolaty and a light end to the meal.

- location, love the walk out to the restaurant. After a rush-rush day it is a nice, peaceful end. The diming of the lights for the fireworks over MK is a great way to view them.

- wait staff is attentive without being smothering.

This was my 41st birthday dinner, location chosen by me. Expectations were met and exceeded. My birthday was noted but not shouted to the high heavens. I have a personalised souvenir menu (which is how I could 'remember' the cheeses ;) ) and 'Happy Birthday' was dusted in gold on my dessert plate. :wizard:

My name on these boards is BBQMommy - I judge BBQ April thru Oct/Nov. I have opinions, like we all do, and I love this restaurant. Heading back to WDW 54 weeks from today (!) for a girls' trip and will see if we can try Citrico's, because I continue to hear great things about that restaurant as well - we'll see, may not have the extra dining credit to spare this time.

Long story short - you likely can't go wrong either choice, which makes it even harder. Have a super trip :woohoo:

We we just did Narcoosees the other week. The food was way below what we expected, the view was good, (Not the view we had however). You could go and not get a good table view and then just walk out on the porch if you time your adr for fireworks viewing.

While the servers were o.k. I did not find them overly friendly or attentive (like noticing my glass was empty etc). If you want a conversation with a server, dont count on that either)

For food next time we will try Citricos.

I think Citricos is slighty better then Narcoossees for food alone. Service is pretty much even at both places, though one server at Citricos stands out in my mind as one of the best I've had. Location-wise I like Narcoossees better, since you can see the castle and view Wishes if you time it right.

Is there a bar at either so you can sit and have a drink without eating?

Michele

Citricos has much better food and service. If I was eating alone though I would probably go to Cali grill and sit by the bar though,as they have better food but I know that wasn't a choice you gave just another option.
