I have not yet dined at Citrico's, but have been to Narcoossee's twice - once long ago and once this past February. I have heard on these boards Narcoossee's likened to Red Lobster and I just do not see it. (Of course the last time I ate at Red Lobster was in 1986 and their quality could have improved since then.)
What I like about Narcoossee's:
- variety on the menu in all courses. I had the Artisanal Cheeses (Humboldt Fog, Cashel Irish Blue, and Tete De Moine), which blended very well into the Chef's Reccomendation Cajun-spiced Florida Tripletail (with Maytag grits, green beans, and a mango BBQ glaze) Had a lovely dessert which is not on the present menu but was chocolaty and a light end to the meal.
- location, love the walk out to the restaurant. After a rush-rush day it is a nice, peaceful end. The diming of the lights for the fireworks over MK is a great way to view them.
- wait staff is attentive without being smothering.
This was my 41st birthday dinner, location chosen by me. Expectations were met and exceeded. My birthday was noted but not shouted to the high heavens. I have a personalised souvenir menu (which is how I could 'remember' the cheeses

) and 'Happy Birthday' was dusted in gold on my dessert plate.
My name on these boards is BBQMommy - I judge BBQ April thru Oct/Nov. I have opinions, like we all do, and I love this restaurant. Heading back to WDW 54 weeks from today (!) for a girls' trip and will see if we can try Citrico's, because I continue to hear great things about that restaurant as well - we'll see, may not have the extra dining credit to spare this time.
Long story short - you likely can't go wrong either choice, which makes it even harder. Have a super trip
