Citricos or Artist Point?

I can't decide between Citricos or Artist Point for dinner in December. DH and I think both menus look delicious. Citricos is probably more of our favorite foods, since we love Mediterranean and seafood. However, Artist Point would be a great excuse to go check out the Christmas decorations at Wilderness Lodge, which is DH's favorite. I'd love to know what you think!

Also, what are your favorite desserts at either restaurant?

Love both restaurants. You really can't make a bad decision here.

Having said that, the decorations at Wilderness Lodge, both in the main building and the villas, are very nice. Of course, the Grand Floridian is great too with the huge tree and the gingerbread house. Decisions, decisions.

We just went to Citric last Wed it was fantastic.. we haven't been there for a while totally worth the expense.. food and service were great

Artist Point is our favorite! Love the portabello soup. We've always had stellar service. And we love the WL lobby, especially at Christmas.

I think I'm in the minority on Citricos. We've eaten there 3 or 4 times and I've just never been impressed. The food is fine, but nothing special by any means. If it were me I'd definitely do Artist Point. As you said you can't beat seeing the beautiful lodge, but the food at Artist Point has always been fantastic to me. We had an oyster appetizer on our last trip that I'm still thinking about

Artist Point. The atmosphere, service and food are fantastic.

We've had very hit-or-miss experiences at Citrico's and the atmosphere just isn't as nice as Artist Point.

Just did Artist Point for the first time last October and was absolutely impressed with the service. They had a beer I'd been hunting for (beer snob, here!) and when they brought me my bottle, our waiter explained that they only had 2 bottles left and were going to hold the second one for me just in case I wanted it. I didn't have to ask them to do so or anything!

However, Citricos is my favorite restaurant on property. I've never had a bad meal there and the service has always been 100% outstanding, no matter what.

The decorations at both hotels are fantastic, so I don't think you'll be disappointed either way.

Artist Point. We stay at WL so we can eat there easily multiple times per trip. We like to go to the pub next door and order the soup and bread (and beverages, of course). The smokey portobello soup is amazing!

All personal opinion - I'm not right, you aren't wrong....

For 12 years, twice per year, we have gone to BOTH. BOTH are very good. Citrico's is better.

We are big Citrico's fans. We are from the Midwest, so get really good meat at home all the time. Citricos for us is just up a notch. AP is good, and very beautiful, but love Citrico's.

Oh yes! I remember seeing your post about Artist Point in your trip report. You had those really yummy looking scallops! The oysters and the roasted beet salad both look really good for appetizers.

Thank you everyone! I'm now tempted to do both! I was saving one night to try and get Ohana dinner, but maybe I'll save that for another time and do Citricos and Artist Point. I really want to try items from both!

Ohana is not even in the same league as Citricos and Artist Point. Give into the temptation and do both. :thumbsup2
