We have dined at Citricos twice in two years, and each time was wonderful. This is a high end restaurant with fantastic food, very rich and well put together. The service varies, but the quality of the dinner is exceptional. Ask to meet the chef, he is a great man who is very personable and loves to talk about his creations. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who favors a higher level dining experience and one that will make you crave it again. It is well worth the money and the "2 table service" credits. For those who knock the restaurant, they just don't appreciate a high end dining experience.

Karen -

The K-Man and I fully agree with your assessment of Citricos.

We had an absolutely awesome meal there a few weeks ago.

I totally agree!!!! We loved Citrico's - we went in January for our first dinner during our honeymoon. Now we plan to make it our first dinner for every trip!!

We just returned from Disney and went to Citricos for the first as part of the dining plan. It was fabulous. Our server Nancy was a joy- attentive and knowledgable about the food and wine (just as it should be in a great restaurant) and very friendly. One of the managers also came by at one point and made some wine recommendations as well (all the recommendations were spot on). We did not meet the chef but were served a lovely amuse bouche (sp?) to start that was delicious (although we had no kids with us we did notice that the children present were recieving something different that seemed to be pleasing them too). We loved everything: food and ambience.

We love kids and realize that they are an integral part of the Disney experience but I have to say we were very happy with the noise level here. We have been at some places where you cannot even hear your dining companion. We had reservations that were a bit late (about 7:50PM) but the place was still full and there were tons of kids so it was nice that it wasn't blaring. It was well worth the 2TS it cost us.

I did not like Citricos. The servings were sparse and the service was not that good. Does this mean I just don't "appreciate high end dining"? I think that is a very rude comment.

so you do not recommend it for kids? we are planning on a dinner for thanksgiving and its dd's 7th bday. I was toying with coming here. maybe I shouldnt?

If you think your kids can handle a meal here, I see no reason you shouldn't. Citrico's, like some of the other Signature restaurants on property, make for longer dinners than some of the other table service restaurants which can make it difficult for some children to either stay behaved or enjoy their time here. If you don't expect that to be an issue, I would do it. I agree with the OP, this restaurant is not to be missed. We ate here during our last trip, and it was our favorite meal of the trip and we ate at a lot of great place that week (Artist Point, Brown Derby & Flying Fish just to name a few). We made sure to book it again for our upcoming trip in October!

Thanks for all the info. Might be a great place to send my parents to get away from the Grandkids for a night.... :)

I absolutely loved Citricos! However, I am Sicilian so I'm a fan of the spices that are used in the dishes. I was so wowed by the steak and the spices from the "Old World" that I asked to talk to the chef. He came by and after speaking with him, I learned his family was from a city in Sicily only 45 minutes from the city mine is from.

We had a wonderful chat and he was a very pleasant man.

In response to stella3, as I mentioned above, the spices are very different from what many people are used to. The chef even told me that he's been yelled at in the past for using to much and has since had to tone it down for "those regular people" (he explained while eyeing my blonde haired, blue eyed fiance). I don't think it has anything to do with your choice of dining level but just your taste buds. It's a hit or miss - some people like the Mediterranean spices while others do not.
