Citricos - A must do!

DH and I have eaten at many higher end on-property restaurants. For our 16th anniversary Friday, we chose Citricos.

We arrived a few minutes before our reservation, and made our way upstairs to the second floor to check in at the hostess stand. We were asked to wait a few minutes and it was no longer than 5 minutes before we were seated.

We had the fortune of being seated right in front of the kitchen. Before our server appeared, we had been greeted by two chefs. For foodies like us, it was the perfect table! Chef Jonathan in the picture below.

Server, Jason, appeared and asked for our beverage order. He brought our still spring water, and an amuse bouche of pork burnt ends with an apple slaw.

We even had personalized menus!

We ordered the seafood escabeche and the fried yellow tomato and buffalo mozzarella salad as our starters.

I started to get a little chilled, even with my jacket, so we ordered coffee. Coffee is served in a French press at your table.

Chef Phillip also came to visit, as did Manager Beatrice.

DH ordered the veal shank ($53) and I ordered the Berkshire pork two ways ($38) for our main dishes.

They were both good, but I had to send the pork tenderloin back as it was overly salty. The second round, the kitchen did not add the finishing salt and it was perfect.

Another chef, Ricky, came over to check on us and brought us a Meyer lemon sorbet in a wine glass topped with Prosecco. It was delicious and perfect as a palate cleanser.

We ordered the berry gratin for dessert.

We were also given chocolates, which we wrapped up and took home.

A wonderful dinner and we enjoyed ourselves. Although families with young children were there, it did not detract from our enjoyment. We will be taking DS with us next time we go!

I definitely recommend Citricos!
