Cirque tickets - prices question

Are the more expensive tickets for Cirque that much better? I would really like to go this year for the 1st time, but the ticket prices are freaking me out a bit. Would our seats be awful if we went with the cheaper tickets?

Thanks!

I had the same question.

After doing a search, I've found at that the Tier II seats are good, if not better than some of the Tier I seats.

I found a slight discount from Ticketmania. I believe they only sale Tier II tickets. If you order from them, you're giving a voucher. You have to call the Cirque box office, inform them you have a voucher, and they will assign your seats.

I plan to call next week to order our tickets for April 15.

We went in October for the first time. We were in the middle of the 3rd row. At the beginning of the show, we had to turn around, but after that the seats were great. These were the 1st teir. The way the theatre is designed, you can sit anywhere. But there is nothing like setting in the 1st couple of rows. Just don't show up late.... :rotfl2:

I have seen 4 Cirque shows---La Nouba 3 times, -O- twice, and Mystre and KA each once. I firmly believe the upper section is better since much of the performance is up in the air, and some on the walkweay between the 2 sections. If in the lower, you have to look up (not too comfortable) for mauch of what is going on, plus behind you to see the walkway which is behind the folks on the 1st level.

Here is a seat map. http://www.floridaorlandotickets.net/cirque_seat_chart.htm To me, the best seats in the house, for the money, are sections 203, 204, 205, row EE. Enjoy.

I've seen several of the shows as well, including La Nouba. While most have moments for which the front seats are 'way cool'.... I tend to sit farther back so as to be able to take it all in better. Cirque does a great job of having things happening left, right, high, low, higher.......

Whichever you prefer and whichever you wind up with, you'll be fine. Plus, while the cost is a bit frightening for a lot of us, I really thought it was worth it and DD8 is still talkign about the show now, nearly a year after we saw it. :-)

I would go for Level 2 seats. I got section 203 Row FF. I'm so excited. They should be great seats.

Don't know if any of you can help with this one...but would Cirque be okay for a 4 & 5 year old? My two are quiet and well behavied kids (if I do say so myself)...hee-hee, but I just wonder if they would enjoy it at all.

I'd really love to go on our December trip but I don't see that happening unless the whole family can do.

Thanks...

Dawn

I haven't been yet but did a lot of research before plunking down that kind of money for our family (kids ages 9, 9 and 11). We did buy tier 2 tickets based on what I read.

The first row of the seconds tier is the best in the house.

There aren't ANY bad seats.

We didn't like Cirque, but the seating is great.

As for kids, tons of people say their kids love it. My son went to sleep. I almost did. Cirque is more artistic than it is entertaining. IMHO, there are a few bright spots, but mostly it is boring.

For those on a tight budget, Cirque du Soleil also offers what it calls "restricted view" seats that are even less expensive than the Tier 3 seats. These seats are located along the sides of both walls and are sold only at the box office (see the "box office only" sections of the seating chart). I've seen La Nouba many times and have sat all over the theater, including restricted view, and there's nothing wrong with these seats. Depending on which side you sit, your view is slightly restricted only to the very left rear or right rear of the stage. You have full view of all the main action. The last time I sat in the restricted view section I believe the tickets were somewhere between $50-$55.

As I said, these tickets are available only at the Cirque du Soleil box office at Downtown Disney, but they aren't sold only for the night of the show. You can buy restricted view tickets for future shows, as well.

Besides at the theatre, where can you purchase the tickets...preferably online?

We set in Tier 2 and loved our seat, i actually think that they were better than the seat right next to the stage....

I am a cheap seater. I think we were section 206 row AA. We had great seats and front row for that section so no one tall sat infront of DD. I would sit there again in a heart beat and the characters walk around the walk way there.
